When I had to find a Hematologist, I found Dr. Sanchez. He was the best Dr I have ever had. No one could ever replace this man. He was always so kind and caring. Never rushed in and rushed out. He always explained everything to me. When I got the letter last year In April saying he was retiring, I was devastated. He took care of me. I got to see him in May just before he retired and oh my gosh, I could not hold back the tears. He told me evening was going to be okay and not to worry. All my medications on record he would always make sure I was able to continue getting them.
All I can say as I miss this man terribly. Thank you for taking great care of me Dr. Sanchez.

I see Dr Anu Thummala as my Oncologist at this location on Peak Drive. She is straight forward & honest. She is an amazing droctor. I highly recommend her to anyone that is unhappy with their current oncologist or as a new patient. Dr Thummala will take very good care of you & answer all your questions/concerns about your current health status. I cannot speak for Dr Sanchez. I have never met the man nor have I heard if patients are happy with him or not. I can say that everyone I have encountered at Comprehensive Cancer Center is very kind, compassionate, & professional. They are all amazing healthcare providers & do everything they can to make a parient comfortable when they are scared, in pain, etc.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sanchez since Dec. 1992-before he even joined Comprehensive Cancer. I am excited that he can retire at this time because he so well deserves it; however, it is very bittersweet for me because he is the "best of the best" in every way. Fighting cancer is so scary, but having had him be my physician has made it easier because of his knowledge, dedication, and caring way of helping his patients. He will be missed. Thank you Dr. Sanchez for giving me a second chance at life.

Dr. Sanchez is a very kind and compassionate physician. He explains everything so that you can understand and always asks if you have any questions. Dr. Sanchez is great. He listens to my concerns and advises me appropriately. However, his scheduler is not. They are really bad about calling back and frequently just never do. I can spend months trying to get an appointment because they don't return calls.

Dr. Sanchez is very kind. I wish he hadn't given us false hope. I also wish he had not sent us to another specialist in California. Since there was no hope for my husband it was a wasted trip. The trip was very hard physically on my husband and a total waste of time, energy ,and money.

Dr. Sanchez is wonderful! He has a very calm and reassuring bedside manner, and is clearly very knowledgeable. He takes time to make sure that your questions are answered, and that you understand the process. I took a star off because of his nurse at CCC; she is awful to deal with, never has an answer to any question, and actually told ME to go make some phone calls when she couldn't get through herself. This was while I was in the middle of chemo and radiation for neck cancer and couldn't speak!

While I can’t say if he is a good Dr or a bad one because I only went to him once and it was a horrific experience. He told me I had Leukemia, which really shook me up. I started to tear up and he said and I quote “ calm down. I have patients who live up to 5 years with this. I was 40 at the time with 2 small children at home. I wanted to hit him right in the face. Not his fault I had this horrible disease, but he basically gave me 5 years and told me to relax. I am now in remission after doing CART-T therapy at City of Hope. My advise, find another Dr.

I am a retired R.N. Dr Sanchez is not only extremely knowledgeable but he is one of the most compassionate doctors I have been.I would highly recommend him to everybody.The office staff were also great. It was such a pleasant experience.

Dr Sanchez is absolutely the worst oncologist in the state of Nevada!! My mother has been a patient of his for over a year. At present, she is lying in the hospital since Friday, and nobody has received a call from Dr Sanchez, nor his staff. He hasn't gone to see her at all or even reviewed her chart. When my mother lived in NY, doctors would call her at 10pm to see how she was feeling!! Caring and compassionate-Not quite. His lack of professionalism is disgusting. I wouldn't let a rat see him. I guess if you're young and not 80 years old, then he'll take the time to listen, otherwise you've signed your death warrant seeing him.

Dr Sanchez has been my doctor for 13 years. I appreciate his care and his honesty. It is nice to have a doctor that I TRUST that I can talk to about my disease and my issues.
