Dr Levisman has been my cardiologist since 2015. I trust him and really love his care. The problem I have now is I’m trying to get a phone call back to talk him about some concerns I have and I have left numerous phone calls to the nurses phone number and I have not received a phone call back. It’s been 2 weeks now. Very disappointing and discouraging.

Dr. Levisman conducted an angiogram on my 81 year old father a few months ago in July, and he ended up placing a stent. He did a great job with the procedure. But communication since is severely lacking. My father has repeatedly called and messaged the office since, but has not been able to get in touch with anyone nor has he received a call back. His follow up appointment isn’t scheduled until November which seems like a long time. I’m not a doctor but a quick Google search says he should have had a follow up appointment one week after placing the stent and 4-6 weeks if no stent was placed. Not 4 months. Immediately following the procedure, no one ever called to check on him either. I’ve had far less invasive procedures and the doctor’s office has still called me to make sure I’m doing ok. He’s had no direction or any guidance on anything. He’s currently having issues and can’t get anyone to follow up with him.

Dr. Levisman is a highly competent professional with an excellent "bedside" manner. I initially saw him for blood pressure reduction and his Rx for me had immediate positive results.
In addition, I had a PFO patched in my heart at UCLA in 2011 and subsequently bubble-tested at UCLA. I told him of the results of the test and he suggested retesting to update the diagnosis. I was very impressed that he suggested something to me that I had wondered about without my having to ask him. I greatly appreciate his accurate and proactive style of medicine. Dr. Levisman is truly amazing. I went through four different cardiologists till I found him. He saved my life. I had an artery that was 70% blocked that when I had my heart attack the cardiologist at the time said they couldn't touch it, went through three more after that they said the same thing. They said I'd have to have a heart attack first before they could fix it. Made an appointment with Dr. Levisman, he performed at angioplasty on me, The artery now is 90% blocked at this time and he fixed it right then and there. I'm so fortunate I found such a wonderful, caring doctor.

Had first vist with Dr Levisman today. He is a very intelligent and knowlegable doctor. He treats people with respect. I definitely would trust him!!
Well that was a big mistake. He messed up my right arm during an angiogram. I know he hit nerves in my arm. I felt it and thought OMG something is wrong. It was like an electric shock and I thought I was going to die. After the angiogram I had excruciating pain. Made an appointment and he couldnt have cared less. I asked him to do an echo to see what was wrong and he refused. Went to my primary Doctor and he did an echo right away. I have a blood clot in my right arm and I am on blood thinners now. This Dr is an interventional cardiologist. That's all he does is catheter based procedures. You would think he would know better then to put a catheter in to large for my vein. Not to smart.
I still have terrible pain I'm trying to deal with after 6 weeks. Please do not trust this Dr. He will mess you up. I have to give him 1 star so I can send this but he does not deserve that.

Update! 4-1/2 stars at this time as I am still nervous about my upcoming treatment. I was very pleasantly surprised at the response I received from this office. Once I got ahold of the team they got me scheduled right away and I met with Dr. Levisman on Thursday. He is very knowledgeable and very concerned about my situation and will do more thorough testing to determine the timing of my upcoming procedure. He is a very easy to talk to provider which is rare now days so I am confident in his expertise, experience and the entire teams commitment to patients. The manager has assured me they will check into the slip up from my original attempts. Thank you. For your attention and compassion.

Original post: Only 1 star for now because I have not had a chance to talk to anyone yet. I hope to be able to be one of the very positive 5star reviews in the future but I Have been trying desperately to get ahold of someone to schedule an appointment, I have patiently waited the 72 hours plus, for a call back and no one has called yet and now it has been a week. I need a heart valve replacement soon and really would appreciate a call back to get an initial appointment scheduled, this truly is a time sensitive situation and I hope my selection of this provider is not an error.

Great doctor. Only problem is the scheduling and trying to get in touch with the office staff. They require 72 hours to get back to you ( and in my opinion that is already a long time ) but even after waiting the 72 hours I had to go in person in order to schedule the follow up appointment to my surgery and have my medication changed from one extremely expensive one to a more affordable. Beside that doctor Levisman is definitely a great one

Dr levisman was so informative about my condition. He walked me through every step of the procedure. His staff had nurses including receptionist were kind and attentive. I so lucky that he was my doctor of choice after my original cardiologist suggested 3 triple bypass. Could you imagine if I did not meet dr levisman.

Outstanding Service and people. Dr Levisman was truly outstanding. Explained all the procedures both preliminary and the actual TAVR surgery very clearly and with a great deal of patience. Dr Levisman is a great doctor. Have been going for 8 years. He cares and listens. Only problem i have is nobody answers the phone or calls you back. They always forget to put in the meds that doc prescribes. Front desk help is very friendly so i think only bad part is behind the scenes staff.
Edit.. right after i posted this i found out my quest bloodwork and my ecocardiogram to steinberg were not put in as well as my lisinipril and repatha meds to cvs. Exactly what i was talking about.
