My first wellness physical with Dr. Leeka was a pleasant experience overall. I did run into some insurance and credentialing issues when I first established care back in February. It was initially difficult to reach someone in the office, but once I did, the staff resolved everything.

My biggest concern was the long wait to actually get my wellness physical, which didn’t happen until early July. I also think the office should ensure each provider’s credentialing is kept current—not just the practice’s—as I wasn’t able to select the practice as my PCP through the BCBS app. New patient wait times are also quite long, and with open enrollment approaching, I feel like I barely had the opportunity to use my benefits this year.

That said, Dr. Leeka is kind and professional, and both the front desk staff and medical assistant were friendly and welcoming. Despite the scheduling and insurance hiccups, my visit itself was a positive experience.

After having a different PCP that was an absolute nightmare, I called Dr. Leeka's office and explained my urgent needs (I ran out of my prescriptions because my former PCP kept gaslighting me saying they'd send them over to my pharmacy but never did for over two months). Dr. Leeka's staff was able to schedule me for an appointment within one week of me calling! I was shocked!

The appointment went so smoothly, and I did not have to wait in the waiting room or back in an exam room for very long at all. All of the staff was wonderful, and Dr. Leeka truly listened and cared about my concerns. He made sure I received the proper treatment/prescriptions I needed, and scheduling my next follow up appointment as I checked out was also a breeze.

I'm not used to healthcare being easy and breezy in this city. To be honest, I've mostly had only unbelievable, horrible experiences. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had regarding my healthcare in YEARS. Like, 10+ years. If you are searching for a new PCP like I was, I truly don't think you can do much better than Dr. Leeka and his team.

After years of turning up at primary care appointments and leaving without ever following up, Dr. Leeka is the only doctor I actually trusted enough to go back to. He always listens very carefully and takes time making sure he understands how all my health ties together. He did not have any issues when I shared private, controversial health-related things with him either - no judgement from him, which is very nice and not something I encounter all that often. No arguments needed with him to get the proper level of care; he often picks up on my issues and suggests treatments in line with what I would have asked for before I have to say anything. He is happy to write referrals to who you want if you need to see a specialist as well as long as you come prepared! Whole office staff is lovely to interact with.

Background: I have had a chronic illness since I was 14, broken bones since I was 10. I have moved to 6 different locations in my life and am 34.

Review: Doctor Leeka has been the best primary care physician I have had to date. He is personable, knowledgeable, flexible, and ACCESSIBLE.

Doctor Leeka has double booked appointments to accommodate me for issues I'm having that aren't even urgent, but I'm just worried about. As someone who was in Los Angeles and in a highly populated area before, Doctor Leeka's willingness to sacrifice his schedule for his patience is a breath of fresh air and appreciated beyond belief. He even told me once that if my condition got worse that I could call his office (not some hotline) and tell them I'm going to do a walk in and he would double book and take me.

I unfortunately have to move so I won't be his care anymore.

The issue I read about a lot in reviews is that the hospital or his care team is not at the same level.

I did not find this to be true. His care team was flexible, and were able to keep up with his desire to treat patience.

Even if it did, this doesn't reflect on Doctor Leeka's abilities as a doctor.

The only things around my care that weren't always perfect had little to do with him.
Insurance declining the medication due to needing a different brand, or the hospital nearby that has an awful emergency room since COVID.

I really like and respect Dr. Leeka, who is a very knowledgeable doctor. I went to this hospital after a brain tumor surgery and was very satisfied with the treatment and advice I received. But suddenly my medical insurance Medicaid was terminated and I have Medicare insurance, so I visited without any problems, but all I got back was a hospital bill. So I contacted the Billing Dept. dozens of times, but no one called back and suddenly I got a warning mail from the collection. After 3 years of no problems, this happened to me, so I contacted the hospital, but they didn't get back to me, I contacted FRONT and they said there was nothing they could do. I am so disappointed and sick and feel so skeptical of myself. While visiting this hospital, I respected Dr. Leeka but was just upset because of the billing department's ignorance.

I really like Dr. Leeka as a caring, conscientious, informed physician. Unfortunately, his support staff at Valley Health Physician Alliance are incompetent. Our insurance requires us to get referrals to specialists. It takes weeks to reach the referral department to get a referral. And sometimes the referrals have mistakes, so it takes more weeks to get it fixed. My last referral took 6 months and expired before my visit to the specialist. We're switching to a different health care company that has already given us referrals within 24 hours.

4 word: he works with you, i’ve been coming to Dr. Leeka for about 2 years now and recently decided that I wanted him as my primary Care Physician. He’s thorough and listens. When you come to him with a concern, he works with you to determine what’s the best possible outcome and in doing so he explains all the pros and cons clearly, then tells you why he would recommend a plan of care. I’m not under the impression that he over prescribes medication; from my experience he’s more focused on working with you as a person rather than giving you a bunch of medications and sending you on your way to the pharmacy. He does talk fast, not in a way that makes you feel rushed, just faced paced. I’ve been looking for a good primary for a while and after a few appoints with different doctors, it was pretty easy to see that Dr. Leeka was the best choice.

The staff is super friendly and always willing to give me a hand when something comes up. They're quick to send in prescription refills on regular maintenance drugs without me having to be involved. Recently got Leeka as my primary doctor bacause his office is near by where I live. Wanted to do the annual checkup. They bring me in for an initial consultation and send me out for a blood test. I get a $220 bill that I have to pay out of pocket because they don’t consider this initial consultation as part of that free annual checkup covered by the insurance. They didn’t say this when I made the reservation

I do the blood test and come back for the second appointment 10 min late. I call the office to let them know as I ended going to blood test center again instead of Leeka’s office by mistake. They have a call center that handles multiple offices and I was 9th on the Que to speak to someone. Got to their office before I was able to speak to someone on the phone. The front desk lady told me they never received the results and will need to reschedule. The results will need another 4-5 to be received. I asked for a phone call when they get the results because I was traveling out of the country for a month. She agreed.

I never received the call.

Today I come back and open the piled mail. I have a letter from Leeka’s office about “1st offense no show”. Ahh!!! Tried calling them and again 11 people in front of me.

1 star is what my experience has been with these guys so far!

I have been on a search for a PCP and an actual office that has great staff. I stumbled upon this office and I gave it a chance although the reviews online were questionable. I had my first visit with Dr. Leeka and my experience was prodigious. A great physician should always take their time getting to know their patients and that's exactly what Dr.Leeka did. I addressed all my concerns and he created a plan of care. I'm elated to have found this practice. Dr.Leeka's MA Lindsay exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. She friendly, personable and is amazing at what she does. I also want to add that The front office was also friendly. Happy that I now have a PCP that I actually like!

This mostly has to do with the appointment department, my husband was admitted to the hospital for about 4 days and needed a follow up, I had 2 appointments that were canceled, one, the doctor was going out of town. The other was scheduled wrong because he could not have a telephone visit due to being a new patient. I called them again and explained that he needs to see someone and get his prescription refilled. They told me that a supervisor would be working on getting a closer date and would call me back. Never received a call back. I tried really hard to get an appointment but at this point I feel like it is not worth it. Not a great experience.

I’m so glad I found Dr Leeka when we moved here over a year ago. My husband, also a patient, likes him too and would agree with what I’m saying!
Dr Leeka spends the time with me during my tele-video/visits making sure I completely understand what’s going on or what’s going to happen in layman’s terms.
From day one, Dr Leeka is my “central control” for all my various health issues. Setting up diagnostics to specialists referrals and an in-house lab. He’ll confer with other specialists (if needed) for further action—like I said, my central control center. He’s on top of it.
I have with him, what I had before moving here. It’s like I have a Queen’s Medical Center Physician here! I didn’t think it was EVER possible, especially with Nevada’s physician shortage.
He and all his staff, from front to back, are top notch. Caring, polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. 5+🌟
I highly recommend Dr Leeka to whoever wanting quality health care service. Hey ohana, get in ASAP!

I've had the same experience as Jay. He is definitely milking the insurance by delaying labs and treatments, and forcing you to come back just to get labs ordered. I also will be reporting this doctor the medical board.

I've waited over a year for a referral that they called and told me was complete. When I called to setup an appointment with the specialist I was told there was no referral. When I called Dr leeka I was told that they did everything they could and I should contact insurance. They never requested any of my medical records.

This is the worst doctor in Las Vegas and probably the entire world. If you just want a doctor that wants to totally disregard your health issues, lie about referring you to specialist, and totally ignoring issues that were clearly stated from a previous doctor then he is your guy. I’m reporting him to the State Medical board and whomever else, this man should not be practicing any type of medicine period.

He wouldn’t prescribe me diabetic medication unless I made a follow up appointment even after seeing my A 1-C was high. This individual is definitely in it to bill insurance companies for things they shouldn’t even be charged for. Even his Nurse Practitioner could tell he was full of it, but of course she couldn’t say anything. She was absolutely incredible and attentive I hope she doesn’t get corrupted by this very unprofessional she’s working under now.

There are tons of doctors in Las Vegas, please avoid this one your overall health and insurance company will thank you later.. Hopefully the medical board reprimands him!!!! He’s lucky I can’t give him a negative 10000 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️….
