First let me say Dr. Peterson has been great!!! My mom is very happy with him.

My only issue is that they are extremely slow at every visit. You always have to wait upwards of 30 minutes (sometimes more) past your appointment time to get in. Then after they do the initial exam, it again takes a very long time to see the doctor for all of the few minutes he is there. They have some excuse every time. They just need to STOP over scheduling or find a more efficient system. A quick routine checkup should not take well over an hour, but it always does. Always!

There is no need for a response that will change absolutely nothing.

I was impressed with how kind he and his staff were in explaining what the next tests would involve. patient comfort is important to them. first step in cataract surgery. Follow up with Dr. PETERSON and both eyes done. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with results. THEY gave us back our independence and handled all the insurance stuff flawlessly.

I do not recommend this location. We had a 9:00 a.m. appointment and the confirmation email instructed us to go to Suite 100. We arrived at 8:45 a.m. and went to the door promptly at 9:00, but no one was present. We knocked and waited for an extended period of time. I called the office multiple times with no answer. After walking around the building, continuing to knock, and calling again, someone finally answered at approximately 9:22 a.m. The receptionist then informed us that we were supposed to be in Suite 200, not Suite 100. While waiting in the lobby, a receptionist eventually wrote on a piece of paper, “GO NEXT DOOR TO SUITE 200.” The lack of communication and professionalism was extremely frustrating.

This is a wonderful facility; the employees are friendly and take their time with working patient’s up for their visit with the doctor. I saw Dr. Elkins and she’s extremely knowledgeable. She performed a surgery on my husband for a macular hole and I now see her for a previous retinal tear. She amazed me because she’s also familiar with a rare medical problem I have and is familiar with the meds I take and how they can damage my vision….she’s following me now to be sure my vision will stay intact.

Prior to posting this review, I reached out to share my experience via email. No response was received.

I am very near-sighted and have a strong prescription. My optometrist in Las Vegas referred me to Meadows Eye for evaluation of possible optic nerve swelling. As a young healthcare provider with a long career ahead, I was concerned. I even brought past clinical notes from my childhood ophthalmologist (in another state), who had been monitoring this for years.

I saw Dr. Zachary Bodnar. Unfortunately, he was difficult to understand chairside, and he did not review the notes I provided. At my first visit, the summary was essentially that it wasn’t clear what was happening, and the plan was to follow up in 4 months. At my follow-up appointment, I again left with the impression that it was still “uncertain,” and was told not to worry, but to come back again in 4 months. To me, “don’t worry” and “come back again soon” felt contradictory and left me uneasy.

Because of this, I chose to discontinue care at Meadows Eye. I later found another ophthalmologist who clearly explained that my optic nerve is not swollen, but rather elevated. It is a benign finding often associated with nearsightedness and should be evaluated alongside yearly exams.

I have not shared this experience until I was charged for two comprehensive exams back to back and within a 4 month span. This left the impression that the point of the follow ups were to be charged for comprehensive exams every 4 months; rather, than a thorough diagnosis.

“This message is solely to share my personal experience.During my eye procedure at Dr. Nick Uzcategui s office, a local anesthetic was administered, but I waited approximately 65 minutes before the procedure began, while the effect of the anesthetic typically lasts about 10–15 minutes. When the doctor arrived, I informed him that the anesthesia had worn off, yet the procedure was started and I experienced significant pain. The doctor also left the room without providing any explanation.My eye issue has not been resolved and I continue to experience pain, which has required me to seek care from another specialist.I am sharing this experience only to inform others so they can make an informed decision when choosing a physician.” My husband visited this place and this review is not fake

I left a review once before but apparently it got deleted. I started going to Meadows Eye back in April upon the recommendation of NV Eye Surgery and I'm glad I went. Dr Bodnar is amazing he almost had me looking forward to my eye injection. Going to see a retina specialist can be daunting but Dr Bodnar will take good care of you and put you at ease, he will explain your condition and the treatments and you will not regret seeing him.

I switched to Dr. Alec Amram after feeling dissatisfied with my previous doctor, and I am very pleased with the difference. Dr. Amram was knowledgeable about my condition RP and demonstrated a strong understanding of the latest research. He provided me with options for gene therapy and explained the potential benefits. Although I’ve been diagnosed for over 10 years, I appreciated that he took the time to go into detail about my condition. He was thorough, down-to-earth, and made sure I never felt rushed. His proactive and patient-centered approach has made a big difference in my care. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. I've moved around the country, with a different set of doctors at least 4 times. All have been good, I always get along great with them and all have been excellent. However, the BEST for the staff is Meadows, and by far the best is Dr. Amram. I told him that today, and after today's shot I told him, "If I didn't see the liquid in my eye, I wouldn't know you gave me a shot." That says it all. I teach customer service for 30 years, for the hospitality business, so mine is a professional opinion, they don't need to take my class, they've got it down.

I've been seeing Dr. John L. Gunn at Meadows Eye Physicians & Surgeons since 2021 for diabetic retinopathy treatment, and I can't recommend him highly enough. Until recently, I was receiving EYLEA injections monthly, but thanks to the improvement in my condition, we've moved to a quarterly schedule.

I know the idea of getting an injection in your eye sounds terrifying, but I promise—it doesn’t hurt. I had them every month for nearly two years, and the most uncomfortable part isn't the injection itself; it's all the eye drops they use to numb and sterilize your eyes (and to be clear, they don’t hurt—I just hate eye drops).

Through all of this, I have never once felt fearful or unsure in Dr. Gunn’s care. He is skilled, professional, and puts his patients at ease. If you're looking for a retina specialist, I highly recommend him. 💯💯

Dr. Gunn’s staff is just as wonderful as he is! A special shoutout to his nurse, Tracy—she’s amazing. She handles the initial eye tests, dilation, and imaging before Dr. Gunn comes in, and she always makes the process easy and comfortable. Exam was very professional. Over the years, I've been to many, many exams. I always have my eyes dilated, but the drops never burned like they did this time. If I remember they put a numbing agent in first, this time they didn't and probably should have warned me first of the painful burning it caused. Also, the glycoma was also discomforting because they used a different procedure then the puff of air. Thats the only reason I didn't give a full 5 star rating. Horrible service, needed to get a 2nd opinion for how bad of a job they did.

Edit: Watch out for this place. They make lots of mistakes, they have their clients miss their rides, and as you can see with their response they'll try and commit HIPPA violations to cover themselves.

The staff was totally disorganized, and the billing department was even worse. The staff emphatically said my repayment would be refunded as soon as my insurance information was processed. For over four MONTHS all they have done is make excuses.

I’m so happy my primary referred me here a couple of years ago. Dr Bodnar and Dr Saboori are both top notch. Had my first eye injection with Dr Bodnar and he made it much easier than I expected. He explained everything so I knew exactly what we were doing. I won’t go anywhere else with my vision.
