I'm writing this on behalf of my boyfriend. His complaint is with Dr. Arturo Marchand, Cardiologist. Anytime you have an appointment, you can expect to wait at least an hour and a half to two and a half hours. Dr Marchand has misread lab work and prescribed additional cholesterol medicine unnecessarily. I even asked him to make sure he was looking at the correct lab result and gave him the date. Upon checking his labwork when we got home, his cholesterol level had gone down to normal. I emailed his assistant. They never responded.
On his previous appointment, we went over heart medications that were prescribed to him by a cardiologist form another country where he had shortness of breath. He asked us to bring the bottles of medicines on his next visit. On his next visit, we brought the meds and Dr and his nurse complained about it and we explained that it was at the request of Dr Marchand. Upon exiting, my boyfriend mentioned the 2.5 hour wait and Dr Marchand happen to hear him and accused us of being the reason for being late to appointments. He said, "It's because of patients like you who waste my time by bringing bottles of meds." Some nerve...

After my boyfriend had a pacemaker implant, he had a follow-up appointment for his pacemaker surgery at the Buffalo Clinic. He was seen after 2 hours. During this wait, there was a patient of Dr. Marchand’s checking out, who clearly was frustrated as he was raising his voice. Shortly after that a man stood up to talk to someone at the front desk about the wait. As a result, he left. Another couple, with the man in a wheelchair, spoke to the front desk, and came back to wait further. We got to talking about the long wait and discovered that they had the same appointment time as we did and 2 other patients had the same appointment time as well, 30 min after us. Her poor husband in the wheel chair was already in pain she said from sitting in his wheelchair for so long.
He was finally called in after 2 hrs of waiting. When Dr. Marchand came in, we spoke of my pacemaker surgery. He did not even know what type of pacemaker was implanted. We had many questions and he was very argumentative and impatient, so much so that he stood up and said, “ we're done here” and walked out. So my boyfriend got upset, and this doctor wanted to have a fist fight with him. His exact words were, “ Come on be a man. Let's go.” I could not believe that this doctor wanted to have a fist fight with his patient who is in his 70s who just had pacemaker surgery. I would not recommend this Dr at all. In doing my research, he had a case against him for prescribing a very serious drug to a patient of his without letting the patient know the adverse effects which the patient encountered. I filed a complaint with the medical board, but they sent my boyfriend a response stating that there was nothing they could do about it. So the best thing I could do was to write this review about this awful awful doctor.

He was referred to me by another doctor I have had for over 10 years so I went to see him without hesitation - these days you can’t be too cautious when it comes to your healthcare and the doctors you use for that care. I was able to get an appointment within 10 days which was AMAZING (compare that to selecting a primary care physician in July and the earliest available appointment would be in late September / early October. I could be dead by then).

But on the bright side, from the initial cardiologist appt I had, there are 3 tests scheduled and a dosage adjustment to a prescription I am taking, so, so far so good! I have high hopes based on what I’ve seen so far.

My experience with Dr. John Lee at Nevada Heart & Vascular Center was extremely upsetting and disappointing.

At my office visit, Dr. Lee entered the room, abruptly opened the door and exclaimed, “Oh my God, is that your perfume?” I was stunned and explained that I had only put a little hand lotion on my hands. His manner throughout the visit was dismissive and made me feel that I could not comfortably ask questions or discuss my concerns.

The more serious issue occurred during my procedure on December 31, 2025. I specifically and clearly informed the medical staff that I was highly allergic to Steri-Strips. Despite that warning, Steri-Strips were placed on me anyway, and I subsequently developed a significant skin reaction.

What followed was equally unacceptable. I sought help from the office but received no meaningful response. The on-call physician never returned my call, and no one from the practice properly addressed the reaction. I ultimately had to see my primary-care physician for medication. When that treatment did not resolve the problem, I then had to see my dermatologist. This entire ordeal could potentially have been avoided had my clearly stated allergy been taken seriously and documented and communicated properly.

I do want to recognize three exceptional staff members. Leanne, the nurse manager, was fantastic and did everything she could to help me. Monique, Dr. Lee’s procedure scheduler, was also wonderful, responsive and professional. Gina, who assisted during the procedure, treated me with kindness and care. They deserve tremendous praise and are the bright spots in an otherwise deeply troubling experience.

Unfortunately, their excellent care cannot erase Dr. Lee’s dismissive manner, the failure to follow a clearly communicated allergy warning, or the lack of medical follow-up when I experienced a reaction. Patients deserve to be heard, treated respectfully and able to trust that a documented allergy will be taken seriously.

I wish I could give them higher marks, because I think the care was excellent! They really helped my leg pain, & was thorough with the procedure.
The issue I have is with billing. I was told they were within my network, that they had obtained pre approval for my procedure & my insurance would cover it. I had a copay of course, which I paid. I heard nothing else, except two years later I got a call from a collection agency that I owed a SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT of money. When I asked the provider what this was all about, they said I was billed and they turned it over for non payment. I was only ever given a bill for an EKG. And that was paid. I asked for a detailed bill, and what I was sent was completely RETRACTED with heavy dark ink. I couldn't see the dates the charges or even the balance after insurance paid.
I'm not exactly sure what is going on in their billing department, but to never even get a phone call when they saw I had a large outstanding balance is very strange.
So be aware of this if you go to them.

I have had a billing/ scheduling issue that had been escalated to upper management 3 months ago and the individual has not returned my voice mail calls or emails sent to them on my behalf from support staff. During my checkup visit today, I shared my experience with Dr. Patel today, 1/31/26 and he immediately texted the individual that I was waiting for a reply from. We’ll see if I get a call soon.

Just the facts:

Front desk started by charging me three times the amount the front of my insurance card said for a specialist. I called my insurance afterwards and they said they shouldn’t have done that and they have no idea why they did.

I then waited 30 minutes past my appointment time.

When I finally got in, the doctor (Dr Miranda) came in after getting my EKG and told me it looked fine. I asked what it meant by partial block that the urgent care said, and he shrugged and said he didn’t know, but it looked fine to him. This didn’t answer my question.

Then he told me I needed to do about five different ultrasounds and a stress test even though he told me everything looks fine. No specific reason for telling me to do all these things other than I guess that’s what everybody does that comes in there.

When I got to the checkout desk, the admin told me that I needed to also wear a heart monitor for three days. The doctor didn’t mention this at all. So now the checkout administrative clerk is telling me another thing I have to do. I’ve never been told about a medical action I need to take by someone working in billing before.

Overall summary: Very unpleasant experience but left me with no answers and only more uncertainty.

So far pretty good. This is only my second time seeing him and both times was quick due to the fact that my doctor did not send over test results and after calling my doctor today to verify before my appointment that they would have it they still hadn't sent it so it's going to require me having another trip which isn't his fault. I have been a patient of Dr. Claudio Bonametti for approximately three years, and unfortunately every annual visit has felt the same: rushed, with very little time or willingness to listen to the patient.
This year’s appointment was especially disappointing. Just a few days before my visit, I had been hospitalized for chest pain and shortness of breath. I informed the medical assistant as soon as I arrived, and she told me they would request my hospital records.
However, when Dr. Bonametti came into the room, he immediately said that everything looked the same as it did a year ago and was already preparing to end the appointment. I had to remind him that I had just been hospitalized over the weekend. His response was, “If they discharged you, then there was nothing wrong with you. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have sent you home.”
I was shocked by that response. A lot can change in a year, especially when a patient has just been hospitalized with cardiac symptoms. I also have a pacemaker and other cardiovascular risk factors that should be carefully considered during every visit. Given what had happened only a couple of days earlier, I expected my doctor to review the hospital records, ask questions, and evaluate my situation thoroughly instead of dismissing it so quickly.
I respect Dr. Bonametti’s years of experience and medical knowledge, but experience should never replace compassion and professionalism. Patients need more than a diagnosis—they need to feel heard, respected, and taken seriously. Every appointment feels rushed, as if I have to speak as quickly as possible because the doctor is always in a hurry to move on.
I left feeling like just another insurance claim rather than a person genuinely concerned about my health. Medicine is not only about interpreting test results; it is also about listening to patients. I hope this review encourages reflection, because kindness, empathy, and professional ethics are just as important as medical expertise.
