I do not recommend this place at all. I took my son for his annual exam. The woman up front asked me if he was doing a contact lens fitting to which I replied "No, I will order them online" clearly not understanding what that entailed. She should have known from there to maybe explain to me that I wouldn't be able to order contacts. I didn't want to purchase in store and he had previously had a fitting the prior year. I didn't want to spend more than I needed to at this visit. but I didn't know he needed a new fitting every year for a contact lens prescription!

Anyway we got the exam we bought glasses. When they came in they were super thick and had a coke bottle effect and my 8th grader was just not going to wear them and be bullied which I talked to them about and they said the couldn't do anything. I went to the car, googled it, and found online it said Poly carbonate lenses are slimmer. I go back inside to ask them for this and they all had an attitude. The woman who sold me the glasses and the office manager. EVEN HAD HIM PICK OUT A DIFFERENT FRAME to help with the thinness of the lenses. I signed a waiver, fine. Paid out of pocket for the different lenses, fine. GOT THE GLASSES AND THEY WERE STILL SOOOOO THICK. his eyes look tiny in the glasses he is at a -5.5 and -6.25 I have spoken with people with a higher prescription and their glasses do not look like that! but I just took the glasses the second time, I didn't have it in me to be told there was nothing they could do and it would be useless. so there goes ~$500+ down the drain

A few months later, I emailed asking for my son's prescription because he was low on contacts and I had to get some ordered. This is when they tell me he doesn't have a contact lens prescription because I turned it down at the time of the exam. and that I was outside of the window to have it done without needing a completely different exam which would now not be covered by insurance and all would be completely out of pocket.
They didn't care to explain anything at the time of the exam, at the time of choosing glasses, at the time of picking up the glasses. They just did not care at all, had a terrible attitude, and did not at all make me think they care about my son as a patient who has been coming to them for years! Zero stars. do better.

The dr is awesome but the front staff can be a little rude I had a pair of glasses that kept breaking in the same place don’t know if it was the Material of the glasses or what they did say that they would be covered under warranty when we got them I called to let them know the glasses had broken in the same place for the second time and they said they had to bill the insurance.. I thought they were covered under the warranty? Then she made the comment “your son must be throwing them around “ or throwing them in his back pack he’s 17 years old and no he’s not!! then she asked where his second pair is and I said he doesn’t wear those much because those we like to take care of because they are more expensive so he takes the cheaper ones to school in case he losses them she replied “if he doesn’t take them off he won’t with an attitude “she didn’t have to make those comments because it’s none of her business I’m am just there to help fix my sons glasses because they had a warranty But it ended up finding out they were still gonna bill my insurance, even though it had a warranty, which is confusing to me and doesn’t seem right. What is the purpose of a warranty then? The whole Interaction was very uncomfortable and disturbing the front staff needs to learn to have some customer service and not make their own assumptions

My whole family comes to this office and we love it there. My husband sees Dr. Beatty , my daughter sees Dr. Uy. and I have seen both. They are both exceptional providers who take time talk to patients and answer our questions. We are immediately greeted when walking through the door. Esmeralda is always very helpful and easy to talk to.

When I was in the process of ordering contracts, an angry patient came in and was yelling at the girls at the front desk. Esmeralda was VERY calm when addressing the patients issues. Extra kudos to her for keeping calm because not everyone would react that way.

The Dr I saw was great.
However the front desk girl with long black hair whose seat is closer to the hallway, Is very unprofessional. I stopped by to finalized a contact prescription, which I was told I could just do over the phone. ( prices for the contacts and everything was already discussed previously) all I wanted was to finalized my prescription, and place on order for my contacts. However when I showed up she said they didn’t have an optician available to se me because there was only one available and she was already busy. She proceeded so say “and that’s why we ask for appointment.” Which is fine, however the sarcasm and the brow lift was very rude and uncalled for. The opticians did offer to call me back, but at that point the interaction was already very unpleasant so I said no. What a shame to fine good DR’s, but not want to come back because of the front desk behavior.

It won’t let me reply directly to your response, but this is how I actually know you didn’t take the time to review the cameras. One, I never demanded to be seeing “right away” this would be very unrealistic for me to walk to a Dr office and expect to be seen. I was misinformed by YOUR office, and was told that all I needed was to finalized my prescription and it could be done over the phone, And I was there to finalized the prescription. The issue was not how long I had to wait. The issue was how your staff was very unprofessional, and how she raised her eyebrow and did a sarcastic comment, that’s exactly why I didn’t wait. I simply said ok thank you and left, then I realized when I was in my car that I didn’t need to purchase my contacts from you guys, and went back and asked to at least finalized my prescription, when I walked in AGAIN for the 2nd time, I was informed you were at lunch and I could wait. Which is what I did. And while I waited I asked your receptionist about being able to get a a prescription for a general brand which she responded “ what do you mean a general brand?” And that’s when another of your staff stepped in and was able to answer my question. Your response with fake allegations that I demanded to be seen multiple times right away, Tells exactly why your office feels like it’s okay to treat people the way she did. Also, not taking accountability for the way your staff treats customers is insane, defeats the purpose of leaving a review for you guys to know what needs to be worked on.

I'm grateful for their friendly, professional service. I smooshed my glasses and took them in for repair. I love that the receptionist took my word that I had purchased them there. She did not ask for my info to verify they were under warranty or anything. She took a look at them, handed them to the tech, the tech put her skills to work and I was out of there in minutes. Optic Gallery on Nellis is a place I would strongly advise parents to avoid when seeking eye care for their children. Our entire experience was marred by unprofessionalism and poor business practices, particularly in handling children.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were an inconvenience rather than valued patients. There was no greeting or welcome; instead, we were met with an abrupt "Can I help you?" that made us feel like we were a bother.

We were instructed to sit and told our child would be in a room with another adult, but the door would be open. This was extremely off-putting, as no effort was made to explain why this arrangement was necessary. It is unacceptable to leave a child in a room with an unknown adult without thoroughly communicating the process and ensuring the parent's understanding and comfort.

To make matters worse, I witnessed another patient being taken to the same exam room where my son was supposed to be. When I asked the receptionist about my son's whereabouts, I discovered he had been moved to another room without any notification. This was horrifying, and I felt sick to my stomach. At no point should a child ever be moved without the parent's consent and knowledge.

The situation escalated when an aggressive coworker barked, "Take her back there then." Instead of handling the situation with empathy and compassion, this employee became confrontational, further highlighting the clinic's lack of tact and professionalism.

In conclusion, do not take your children to Optic Gallery on Nellis. They are unprofessional, confrontational, and lack basic communication skills. Your child's safety and your peace of mind are too important to be compromised by such subpar service.

Most professional staff you could ever have the pleasure of working with. Beyond patient ( I had a pretty bad attitude for personal reasons. TBH I acted like a total Karen);and not only were they calm, cool and professional, but they were organized, quick and completely understanding. People are still kind and professional, something you don't see often. The doctor was informative, and although he didn't look over 18, he was absolutely genius and extremely helpful and gave me many options and good information on what I can do for my eye health and worsening eyesight. I couldn't be happier, and I am a very hard critic. Esmeralda was smiling and sweet even after I took forever changing my mind over and over about my glasses and took her time giving me the best options to fit my insurance budget. The whole staff, these people were Saints. I'm very pleased. Hard to find professionalism like this anymore.

Can I give this place more than 5 stars? If I could, I would. These people are amazing. The doctor was super nice. The technicians were super nice. I had never been here before and they treated me like I'd been coming here my whole life. Then Kelly, who helped with my insurance claim just went WAY above and beyond. My eyes are very bad and my previous eye doctor would always file the claim as "Medically necessary", and some big word that I can't remember. When he did that, I would most of the time pay nothing for them because Insurance would pay it all. The place I went to last year simply said, "That's not possible." Kelly, on the other hand, called my insurance and worked with them and figured out how to file the claim like my old doctor did. It took a little over a week and I don't even want to know how many phone calls to EyeMed. I can't thank her enough, and I can't give this place a high enough rating. I will recommend them until the end of time.

Whenever she asked me a question about my eyesight, I would always go into detail on why I felt a certain way only for her to respond very rudely, “ it was a yes or no question only” wow very unprofessional. Gave me the wrong prescription and told me to wait 3 weeks for my eyesight to adjust. 3 weeks past of course I’m back because my eyesight didn’t adjust. She ends up comparing my left eye to my left hand while writing and that I will always see blurry out the left eye and I should get used to it. What kind of an EYE doctor tells you that?? It’s not like I was in some crazy accident that I might not be able to see that good from my left eye again. I never seen blurry out my left eye before I came to optic gallery. Her playing with your eyesight is dangerous to you and to the public. It’s ironic that her name is beauty because her work ethic and her knowledge in this medical field is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Save your precious time, your hard earned money, and your one of a kind energy because dr. Beauty is not worth it she is unprofessional and a thief! WORST eye care provider I have ever been to!!

My Mom and I have gone here two years in a row for our glasses and we absolutely love this office! There male eye doctor, I forget his name and that totally makes me nuts, was really awesome and he explained everything to me about my vision. My experience with Dr. Beaty two years ago was also absolutely amazing!

I hate going to the eye doctor because I had two VERY bad experiences with two separate providers years ago, was given the wrong prescriptions two times and never wore glasses after that until I came to Optic Gallery. Both doctors listen and answer questions honestly. Can't wait to pick up our new prescriptions, and really going to hate leaving this office behind when we move. Awesome providers, and awesome staff!! Providers that care about patients anymore are very hard to come by. Thank you Optic Gallery!! 😌😌😌

Came in excited for my eye exam the whole exam was fine nothing spectacular. Wish I would’ve read some reviews before though. Main reason why I’m giving it a 1 star is because I had a contact lens exam done and was told would not pay a fitting fee if I bought my contacts with them. I was doing a trial on the contact lenses to see which brand worked better for me. Went to pick up my glasses today and told me I had to pay $75 for my contact lens fitting which surprised me given they told me that if I purchased contact lenses with them they would not charge me that fee. The lady with the purple hair even gave me pricing without the fitting fee. I wasn’t even done trying out the lenses to see which I wanted and to top it off I was charged but not given a prescription. I’m not sure if the girl with the purple hair is new or doesn’t really know her stuff but they need to all be in the same page. I was definitely planning on ordering lenses but have now changed my mind. Probably will not go back again either. Very disappointed with this location. At this point I just want my lens prescription so I can go elsewhere.

I absolutely love this location! I usually get my yearly checkup and have my prescription emailed to me so I am able to purchase frames online elsewhere. The experience I had at this office was beyond exceptional and indelible. Thank you, team!

After reading the reviews from all that reviewed Optic Gallery @ Nellis i had to check it out myself. I'm all about customer service, speed of service and cleanliness of any business. I must say all that made a bad review about this Optic Gallery @ Nellis location was uncalled for. First of all my experience with customer service was fantastic and the reason I say fantastic is because when I came in I was welcomed with a smile from the staff. Non of the staff made me feel like they just wanted my money. Speed of service was great unlike other Offices you have to wait longer than your scheduled appointment but not At Optic Gallery @ Nellis I came in filled my paperwork out, got called in to do my testing and then talked to Dr Beaty right away as soon as I went into the room. Dr Beaty is a very nice doctor she answered all my questions that I needed to know and helped me in the situation I was in.. Thank you OPTIC GALLERY For everything and KEEP up the good work on staying Clean and keeping me safe FROM COVID INFECTION..... AND TO THOSE that complain for example PRICING If you feel you get a better pricing elsewhere . Then go to that place.

Horrible! Doesn't even deserve one star. This doctor is only interested in your money. Stopped in to ask if "floaters" blocking the vision were treatable. Said she wouldn't answer that unless made an appt.. I said "Why would I do that if floaters aren't even treatable?" I've heard that they are not, but was hoping maybe there were new treatments available. She said "Unless you make an appointment I can't answer that or give out medical advice." I said "I'm not asking for advice, just general common knowledge & information." She said "There's common knowledge on the internet." In other words, pay me or look it up yourself!!! She could have said... yes they might be treatable, or no they are not treatable... that isn't any kind of medical advice! I'm so tired of doctors like this! We're just numbers, not people. It disgusts me! I've had doctors treat me FOR FREE because they actually cared about people and had a heart. Not this one. She's cold hearted, money hungry, condescending, and narcissistic. There's doctors out there that still really care but this one seems only in it for herself.

If your looking for an optometrist who doesn't rush you, explains your eye exam result and is very patient, Dr. Beaty is the best. My husband and I couldn't have been happier to have been referred to Dr. Beaty by a friend a few years ago. You have your exam and order your glasses, all at the same place. The staff is always so helpful. It's a plus for us too that it is a Culinary Insurance provider ! We drive from the Northwest part of town to Nellis and it's so worth it for the care given.

Dr. Beaty and her office were great with my entire family (5 of us). We didn’t feel rushed at all and every staff member took their time and answered our questions. WORST STAFF EVER!!! Dr Beaty was very nice but her staff ruined the complete experience. DO NOT give them your time. There was an attitude about every question I asked about. Frames, contacts, etc. Will never be going back to this location and I advise you don’t either!
