The front intake desk was a little out of touch, but very polite. X-ray tech was professional and Dr Winder was great! The biggest concern so far is it appears Dr Wimders team failed to forward script to Pharmacy.
Apt was Friday, now I have to wait until Monday, I hope, for script in hopes to resole my issue.

Saw doctor Winder for a sore knee. Appointment was very fast. Arrived on time and seen quickly. X-rays were taken. It turns out my knee problem was mild arthritis. Received a Cortizone injection. Getting better rapidly. Couldn’t ask for a better doctor or result.

I had a knee issue come up I had been to Desert orthopedic before , the doctors are good but I wasn’t thrilled with the service really or the facility, I was referred by my fellow girlfriend Hairdresser to go to Dr. Winder , she had great results , yet I have to tell you his staff was great ,kind And efficient.

I had a full ACL reconstruction done by Dr. WINDER on 1/31/20 with the biggest hope of being back up on a snowboard 1 year out. That takes a lot of PT work and effort but what Dr. Winder did to reconstruct my ACL is nothing short of excellence! I opted to have my new ACL from a portion of my hamstring. That wasn’t the only option though. There were a few other options as well. Dr. Winder explained every option in clear detail to me. He listened and had very knowledgeable answers to any and all questions I had. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome 9 months post surgery (w/PT +/& exercises 3-4x week) Dr. Winder is extremely professional, smart, nice and had most definitely proven to me he’s extremely skilled at what he does! Hopefully I won’t require any orthopedic surgery again anytime soon, but if it happens, straight to Dr. Winder. Amazingly talented Surgeon!!!

Dr Winder is fine. Desert Orthopedics however was a total disappointment. I called to make the appointment and asked about Covid precautions.
I was assured that temps would be taken at the door, masks would be required and patients would be requested to wait in their cars until called back.

I ventured out for the first time in months to see the doctor. Upon arrival there were several people standing in front of the entrance without masks. The waiting room was pretty full. There was no way to get to the desk and keep proper distance from other people.

Approaching the sign in desk I was told that I had to sign in on papers on clipboards. I asked them to sign me in because of health concerns. I had witnessed people holding the clipboards and putting the used pens back in the "new" bin. The staff basically refused telling me that the pens were sanitized. Finally they relented. While I stood there a man came up and took his mask off to yell at the staff.

When I finished checking in did they suggest I wait in the car? NO
I had to ask about it and they finally gave me a ticket for reentry without temp check.

This is a health care facility. Their lax nature and obvious distain for my concern was quite disturbing.

I was in a horrible pain in my hip for 4 weeks. After I went to few ERs and did few ultrasounds and ex-ray. I was told that I have hip bursitis. Orthopedic doctor tried injection and physical therapy that didn't help. So I did my own research and found out I needed Arthroscopy and drain the fluids from the hip joints. I couldn't wait to see a specialist who can do it. Been in pain for several weeks I finally found a specialist. I told him all about it and was told to go to ER because he wouldn't do anything. You call yourself a doctor?! You are a jerk. You should loose your licence.

I had a really good experience with Roger Braun, PA, at Desert Orthopedic. This was first my consultation, and I’ll be seeing the doctor next, but I’m still very happy with the care I received from Roger. He was very attentive and really took the time to listen to me and what I was feeling. I felt comfortable talking with him and never felt rushed. I also appreciated that he didn’t immediately suggest surgery, which was a big relief for me. I felt like he listened to my concerns and wanted to make sure we looked at the best options for me. I’m glad I had such a positive experience for my first visit.
The staff was also pretty amazing. Each and every person I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the entire experience that much better.

Dr Winder is a great doctor with excellent bedside manner. I saw him years ago for an MCL tear. Desert orthopedics is a horrible practice. I saw Dr. Perry Jr 02/2026 For knife like pain and left buttock down to my knee. He told me it wasn’t sciatica. When I ask him what the pain was from, he said.” At least you don’t need surgery”. I recently had MRIs of bilateral shoulders and hips, showing a torn rotator cuff and tears in my gluteal muscles, causing the pain. I was thrilled to find out that Dr Winder treated both shoulders and hips as I have been in pain in my buttocks since to February 2026. I got my MRI results back this month 08/2026. I called the office and asked specifically to see Dr Winder. When I went to the appointment.8/19/26, A PA Walked into the room. When I asked for Dr Winder was he said he was in a scheduled surgery. I started crying., as I was so hopeful, a pain relief with Dr Winder. I asked for management, they made me an appointment For 8/21/26. Rosie called me two hours later saying I would no longer be seen at that practice and I would receive a letter. I doubt Dr Winder knew of this. This office also has huge HIPAA violation
