I moved to Las Vegas 3 years ago and arrived with some severe dental problems I could not get resolved in Colorado due to their complexity. Dr. Chiu was willing to dive into them and dedicate the time and detail they required. His precision resulted in a phenomenal outcome. I can chew, have less strain in my neck, I grind my teeth less, my smile is no longer crooked. I no longer have pain. Chen works with the insurance to get what coverage she can fight for. They worked around my schedule. He is very astute to pain tolerance. He is gentle, reassuring and takes the time to get the best possible outcome. We are a military family and have been to several dentist over the years. I am 61 years old and grateful I got the help I needed I was headed for dentures.

One of the few dental offices left that are not owned by a large corporation, which means they won't try to upsell services, or scam you out of your money.

As someone with chronic teeth issues, having spent countless hours in dentist offices in 4 different countries, I can promise you the work here is excellent, pricing is reasonable, and service is kind.

See tooth C, custom crown completed here a year ago, smooth lines, zero leakage, no issues, highlighted in green. (I needed the custom crown for reasons too long to outline here but I want the reader to know that they offered the regular option as well, and were content with either choice, I was never pressured to get something more expensive; it was completely my decision.)

See teeth A and B, gaps on crowns highlighted in yellow, and a new filling that was chipped during crown isntallation, highlighted in blue. (Completed recently in Mexico, sloppy cheap work unfortunately, crowns were put on 2 months ago and are already leaking/infected)
In my attempt to save money, I ended up having to have an emergency visit at Sky Dental instead to fix these mistakes, which they were beyond accommodating about. The dentist even stayed late to finish out the emergency root canal on a Friday night just so I wouldn't have to spend the weekend in pain.

Not only that, but they also check on you after the procedures and genuinely want to make sure everyone leaves satisfied.

I cannot recommend this place enough.

The only area of improvement I would suggest is to go fully digital with records/imaging. It would be beneficial to receive invoices/receipts/pictures of records by email after every visit.

Be cautious before agreeing to any treatment here. I went to this office one time as a new patient when I moved to Las Vegas and was told I had cavities—which I later confirmed from another dental office that I did not. They told me that I had a cavity under a a “filling” when it was actually a bonding for tooth sensitivity. If I hadn’t gotten a second opinion, I could have paid for unnecessary work. This kind of misinformation is unacceptable, especially in healthcare where trust is everything. Always double-check their recommendations elsewhere before moving forward. Needless to say, I never went back.

Had a very, very bad experience here in the end. To the point where I was left to surrender arguing my complaints because this place left me hanging. They never completed what I originally came in for and that I paid for, and the next thing I know, I have to pay more .

I was literally SMH (shaking my head)
And just focus on being positive. But to save you the time, whether this place is legit or not, I will tell you one thing... 'communication'.

Unless you speak Chinese, maybe you can fare better and will have a different experience. I usually don't judge businesses based on ethnic categories, but I'm learning that communication is a key factor for a business to thrive. I tried to be polite by agreeing and almost nodding my head all the time to the lady at the front desk. She's very polite and kind, but I had the hardest time understanding her. This led to complete misunderstandings and disappointment on my end. Whatever you do, don't pay until they complete the job. Don't pay more than 50% deposit like I did simply because I didn't realize it was a deposit. And I had no idea it was the case.

Even if you have good insurance, you need to know how much is being consumed from your yearly allowance everywhere you go. They will not tell you unless you ask.

There is no way they have this many 5 stars. There is not enough space to write every single thing wrong with this place, so I will focus on the major issues. I was seen for two root canals with two crowns. THE CROWNS WERE POORLY SHAPED, POORLY FITTED, REMAINED LOOSE, DIFFERENT SHADES, AND THEY HAVE BOTH FAILED! The office manager literally argued over an hour that the crowns are identical to how my teeth were before, only for the DENTIST TO ADMIT AT THE END THAT HE PURPOSEFULLY PLACED THEM OUTWARD TO AVOID BITE IMPACT, WHICH DIDN’T WORK! These teeth were not great before AND NOW THEY ARE WORSE! I have been on antibiotics 3x for a recurring infection. And I am now being seen by another dentist where I will pay $5000 plus to correct what I paid more than $4000 to have here. It is important to also highlight the unprofessionalism of the office manager. She is unorganized and talks way too much (think used car salesman). EVERY appointment included an hour discussion of her repeating herself trying to convince me to spend thousands more to put crowns on every bottom tooth to ‘build’ my bite and how poor the previous dental work was. Every attempt to correct the TERRIBLE crowns was met with combativeness. Additionally, the dentist does not have an actual DENTAL assistant. During a 3 ½ hour procedure, I was holding my own suction tube, otherwise he was leaving it to suck on my cheek like a vacuum. This might be a decent place if you have good teeth and just need standard maintenance, but I WOULD NOT recommend for extensive dental procedures.

I have been going to Sky Dental for 6 years now and since then, Dr. Chiu and his team have alleviated my fears with going to the dentist. They're very personal and do all they can to meet you in the middle when it comes to your budget and the services that they can provide to you. Not only that, they are very transparent with their processes including any conversations that they have with the insurance company. I've had 2 root canals, as well as periodontal surgery. Hours after each procedure, they followed up to make sure that I was doing well. They also reached out the next day as well as days later to ensure that there was no pain or complaints.

I would recommend Sky Dental to everyone just by the way they take care of their customers and how genuinely kind they are.

Upon my visit to Sky Dental in December for routine cleaning, I was met with an unprofessional front desk staff member who's also the technician, dental assistant, and manager of the clinic. This lady insisted that I undergo a full mouth x-ray. They spent quite an amount of of time taking x-ray and proceeded to make unfounded claims regarding the quality of the bioclear procedure on my nine teeth conducted at Prime Care Dental in October, which is less than 2 months ago. I was informed that there were purported cavities underneath the bioclear, necessitating the removal and complete redo of the treatment. The lady also mentioned how awful and ugly those nine teeth were, how those could be done better at Sky dental, she said she leaned and qualified to make crowns. This unexpected assertion led me to a formal complaint with Prime Care Dental. The lady provided me with 3 films that have cavity shadow on it, and then I sent it to Prime Care Dental. I was subsequently advised by the dentist at Prime Care Dental that the shadow in the films were not clear enough to conclude they were cavities, so they took another set of x-rays for free at their own clinic. On this new set of films, it was clearly shown no such shadows at all.

As a concerned patient seeking clarification and resolution, I reached out to Sky Dental to request the transfer of my dental records and all the x-rays to facilitate the necessary examination, and I'd like to cancel my next appointment with them before the issue is clarified. Shockingly, the front desk staff at Sky Dental exhibited an unacceptable level of uncooperativeness and refusal to comply with this reasonable request. Despite being informed of the legal obligation to provide access to my medical records and the right to obtain the x-rays for review by another dental professional, their response was unapologetically dismissive and obstructive. Not only did they exhibit a lack of professionalism, but also attempted to impose an unjustifiable fee of $25 for the transfer of my x-rays.

I had no idea how bad my teeth were. When I saw the pictures of the inside of my mouth, it kinda looked like a bomb went of. I went in because a crown came off. The crown was actually pretty much a flat piece of metal. It was less than a year old and really had no way of staying on. Long story short, all or maybe 1 less of my teeth have been rebuilt. I have the teeth roots mostly in place. My bite and my smile have been totally restored. Dr. Chiu is the best dentist I have ever experienced. I used to fear getting the novicain shots. He is extremely skilled in the art of reducing pain. Unless you actually experience the lack of pain from those shots, you would never believe it. I would never go to another dentist. I hope he out lives me by a long shot. There are many dentists much closer to me, but I won't even consider them. I am looking forward to them remaking my wife's teeth. She has false teeth now. Sky dental has my loyalty forever. Check them out.

Dr. Chiu has been my and my children’s dentist for 17 years now. He’s the only doctor in his office, so you always know who will be handling your case. Patients are handled with care and consideration. The front office is very detail oriented and makes sure I understand the recommended treatment exactly. My son had a crown done and later moved away. His new dentist in Portland said His crown done by Dr. Chiu was THE BEST HE HAD EVER SEEN! What a compliment coming from another dental professional! I'm very happy that I found this dentist office so many years ago and have been with them ever since.

Dr. Chiu and his staff are very professional, knowledgeable and very kind. They provide a calming environment for their patients, make them comfortable and make them feel like family. Dr. Chiu is an excellent dentist, always paying attention to the tiniest detail and his work is outstanding. I have been to several dentists in my past but Dr. Chiu is by far the best dentist I ever had. He takes his time to make sure everything is perfect and you can feel that every patient is important to him and not just a number. Turns out I made a great choice seeing Dr. Chiu and he immediately became the best dentist I've had so far. He takes time to listen to my concerns, and whenever I have questions he would explain his answers in detail. I'm in my 30s and have NEVER had problems with my teeth. To be clear i have never had a cavity, I never had braces, and I still have all my molars. Dentist visits for me have ALWAYS been "good job see you in 6 months for your next cleaning." Not the case here. In 1 visit he told me I needed everything from a deep scaling to a night guard, he also said I have 4 major cavities! All of this was delivered with terrible bedside manner and a joke about what good insurance I have.

I've been in LV for around two years, but only started going to the dentist for a little over a year now. Sky Dental was the first placed I stopped, and I do no plan on changing my dentist for so long as I live in the area (I
'll be moving moving to Henderson soon...you can bet I'll still be driving up here as needed for my dental work).

A few reasons why these guys are the best - and I'll share a few personal stories...

I've always had a crippling fear of the dentist, and every appointment I would go to (including orthodontist) tended to have a lot of pain, and rushed service.

The guys always take great care of their patients, and make the visits as easy as possible...even going so far as to numb up the injection site before they inject numbing agent.

Any time I need a procedure they always walk me through it beforehand, let me know what should I expect, the cost, and show me what they plan to do or have done (Dr. Chiu typically takes pictures during the procedure so you can see it).

After every procedure they've always called/texted to make sure I'm okay and there are no complications...even after a cleaning I'll receive a quick text later in the day thanking me for coming in, and making sure everything is still good.

Extremely flexible with appointments - I've had to cancel last minute a few times - and with walkins. I came in late one day with a lot of dental pain, I think I arrived 10 minutes before they closed on a Saturday, and they looked over everything and let me know what they suspected...which turned out to be true. I don't think I left there until a half hour or so after close.

One of my favorite things: appointment reminders. I can't say how often I forget appointments, and lose appointment cards, and I always receive a quick text a day or two prior reminding me of my appointment.

I could go on and on about these guys, but google reviews has a character limit. My last comment is that giving Sky Dental 5 stars is a disservice, as I cannot give them enough praise, or recommend them enough.

Needed a extraction of a fractured molar, they got me in hours after I called... Then after I got there they got me in the dentist chair minutes after I arrived and took an x-ray even though I told them I just wanted it pulled, however they were correct in doing so because it was found to be a difficult tooth to pull. They then carefully explained all my options if I wanted to go any other route including saving it if I chose to do so... I ended up going still with extraction, so they told me it would not be safe to extract that same day and I should go on medication for a week to prepare for what was going to be a difficult extraction...

Today was the fallowing Friday and I want to say one major thing, they cared for my comfort and went out of their way providing me with so many shots of Novacaine I lost count LOL... the tooth took two hours to get out! Was a war of a job to say the least. Never once did my dentist get annoyed with the difficulty of the job... I am very happy with what they did and how much they really cared, family dentist is what they are and it really felt as if they were family on my visits so far.

I will be using this office from here on out!

I have had so many bad experiences with dentists I was about to give up! When i decided to do a search for dentists near me and came across Sky Dental, I said "Oh well, let's give them a try". I'm so glad I did! They are amazing! You are not just a 3:00 appointment there, they treat you with respect, and answer all your questions. They took the time to explain all my options, costs and how my insurance worked. I told them I was concerned about my treatment and how much I would have to pay out of pocket, so they called my insurance, ran all the numbers with them and gave me a quote right away. Dr Chiu is such an amazing Dentist! He would pause during the procedure to explain exactly what was going to happen next. Dr. Chiu is the best dentist I've ever had!! He is a perfectionist when it comes to my dental work! His staff are always friendly and helpful!! I recommend everyone to see him instead of the commercialize dentist offices I've used in the past.
