Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at Sunrise Dental of Henderson.

The first issue was during my X-rays. It was very uncomfortable. This wasn’t my first dental X-ray, so I have plenty of previous experiences to compare it to. The person taking my xray was aware that I have TMJ. I don’t normally have trouble opening my mouth wide, but the X-rays took an unusually long time, and I kept being told to open even wider. Eventually, my jaw locked open. I had to stop the procedure because I couldn’t close my mouth. It was honestly scary, and she didn’t do anything. Afterward, she said, “Oh, you have TMJ,” even though I had already mentioned it before we started.

The second issue was that they refused to do a routine cleaning. They insisted I needed a deep cleaning and would not provide the regular cleaning I came in for. I’ve had routine cleanings throughout my life.I believe patients should have the right to decide how they want to proceed. Instead, I felt like I was given no choice.

Another staff member then brought me a periodontal treatment refusal form to sign, acknowledging that I was declining the recommended deep cleaning. I had no problem signing it because I understood my decision. I honestly thought that once I signed the form, they would simply proceed with the routine cleaning I originally came in for. Instead, they still refused to do the cleaning. What also disappointed me was the attitude I felt I received afterward. That staff member’s only interaction with me was bringing me the form, yet I felt like I was treated differently simply because I declined the recommended treatment.

Overall, I spent 2 hours at the office and left without even getting my teeth cleaned. It was frustrating, disappointing, and it felt like the focus was more on selling a more expensive procedure than providing the service I scheduled.

The only positive part of my experience was the receptionist at the front desk Tonya. She was friendly, kind, and professional throughout my visit. I just wish the rest of my experience had matched the level of customer service she provided.

I took my daughter to this horrible place for an emergency tooth extraction because it was a weekend and her regular dentist was closed. I thought they were going to be great since they’re in such a nice area regrettably they ended up charging out of contract even though they are part of my contract network and I had to pay $2000 out-of-pocket for a tooth extraction! That’s not the worst of it the next day my daughter had a horrible mouth infection caused by the Oral Surgeon Dr Summer Lane. My daughter was so sick and in so much pain I had to take her to the doctor and they said that it was caused by traumatic gum irritation. I called my insurance company and they said they did not Charge me the contracted rate as I am in network with this Dentist. In other words, they charged me whatever they wanted and they charged me $364 for deep sedation four times that was almost $1500 in sedation! Do not go to this place they will rip you off. Don’t be fooled by the nice area or location. They are horrible and they charge whatever they want. Also my daughter said that while they were sedating her, she heard one of the assistants ask how do I check her vitals 3 times! These people don’t know what they are doing! Now they don’t want to give me my money back! Please stay away from this horrible place!!

When I showed up the receptionist charge me $24 for what she said was a copayment after my teeth were clean they did ask for another $36 which I paid they said my copayment was 60 when I got home and checked my insurance it should’ve been zero because it was just a normal teeth cleaning. I think they’re claiming it’s a periodontal and it’s not because they did not clean under the gums, I called my insurance. They areinvestigating it and I have a ticket number. meanwhile, I’m gonna look for another dentist because I don’t like my current dentist business practices And they never even notified me at least a couple weeks before that there was gonna be a charge. What if the person didn’t have the money?

I had an Emergency Wisdom Teeth removal surgery at this place, I’ve never been here before, i honestly did not have a good experience. The front desk ladies were the nicest employees. Then i went in the back to start my surgery and they were literally teaching 2 nurses how to READ MY VITALS right in front of me RIGHT before i underwent surgery. Obviously that stressed me out and then the lady that handled the paperwork right before was rude, her tone was just not even a little nice or comforting. nobody was comforting.
When they were setting up all the sedation stuff i asked “so when am i gonna see the oral surgeon? she hasn’t even looked in my mouth and your prepping me for surgery.”
the she came later, Dr. Lane, she wasn’t comforting either. seemed like she was in a rush to just get it done. I asked “How long until i can eat solid foods again, she said right after surgery, that’s fine.”
This isn’t my first Wisdom teeth removal, and i know it is not safe to eat solid food for about 3 days afterwards at least. I just wanted to see what’d she say. that made me question her experience.

recently visited Sunrise Dental for a routine check-up. The staff was efficient with the X-rays, and that part of the visit went smoothly. However, I was surprised to learn that they would not perform a standard dental cleaning—a service I have received consistently for the past 48 years. Instead, they insisted on a “laser cleaning,” which would cost $200 out of pocket. When I told them I wanted a regular cleaning, without the “optional” laser they refused - it was utterly shocking and weird.

I had never heard of laser cleaning for routine dental care and was even more surprised to find out there is no substantial long-term evidence supporting the efficacy of this method over traditional cleaning. I was left questioning whether this upsell was truly necessary or just a way to push an expensive procedure.

If you’re considering Sunrise Dental, I would recommend asking clear questions about their cleaning methods and whether traditional options are available. Be prepared for additional costs if they suggest laser treatments, and do your own research to make sure it’s right for you.

Edit – Update:
After receiving the diagnosis of six cavities at Sunrise Dental, I sought a second opinion at Dream Dental in Las Vegas. Their full examination and X-rays confirmed that I have zero cavities. They also performed a standard cleaning with no laser, and explained that the laser procedure Sunrise Dental insisted on was completely unnecessary for the condition of my teeth.

This second opinion makes it clear to me that the original assessment and the refusal to provide a traditional cleaning were not aligned with evidence-based dental practice. The contrast between the two providers reinforces my concern that the laser cleaning requirement and the cavity diagnosis at Sunrise Dental were inappropriate and potentially part of an up-sell.

I greatly appreciated the kindness and concerns expressed by all the staff members and dental team as well as the doctor Seto since my 79 year old husband Steve is in a large power chair and is in need of special care due to hearing loss, brittle diabetic condition ,and need for immediate creation of new teeth so he can eat again after 70 pound weight loss due to numerous hospital visits. I have been a patient under Dr. Seto’s expert care for several years. Dr. Seto is a knowledgeable, highly skilled dentist with a very gentle touch. Unfortunately, finding a Dentist of Dr. Seto’s caliber in LV is not an easy task nowadays. Plus, she has excellent bedside manner with a very personable and kind demeanor. I was disappointed in this, my 2nd cleaning at Sunrise Dental. First, hygienist wanted to do x-rays that were taken 6 mos earlier, above & beyond regular set. Agreed to only bite wing. Second hygienist had wrong x-rays on screen. Corrected. Cleaning was satisfactory. Third hygienist polished & flossed. No exam by dentist. Upon exit, bill included x-rays(not taken

Gigi and the dentist and her staff were absolutely amazing! My husband needed an emergency visit due to a tooth injury and they were able to see us last minute on a Saturday and Gigi was able to look up my insurance all within short notice. I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and have always loved Dr. Seto, she was the reason I kept coming back. I got to see a new to me hygienist today, Chris, and he was amazing, patient and kind. I was second guessing why I drive so far for this place but I’m definitely sticking to it now!

Sunrise Dental was great to me before they switched to some terrible corporation. They just seem so money hungry. now Wanting to collect every single little cent. Don't get me wrong, the staff's wonderful. From Dr. Seto to her assistant Wendy to the front desk Hanna there they're the best. But dealing with the so called "Office Leader" has given me nothing but nightmares. I believe her name is Daisy or some flower name. I understand the office was bought out by some corporation but there is just no way you are really billing me for some treatment that was done back in 2020! That was over 5 years ago. I've been a loyal customer here for so long and honestly if I would have known about my balance when the balance first showed up on my account I wouldn't have mind to pay it. But now I'm just getting harassed by all these text messages and emails about a balance that I must pay. Getting an answer from this office is impossible. When you do get an answer, its nothing but cold "I don't care" tone from the "office leader" . I was told "Sadly this is your true balance that has to be paid". According to the office leader my insurance denied some treatment that was done back in 2020 Sunrise Dental, you were great but honestly I'm going to find some other office. The prices went up as well. I've been paying $80 for my cleaning and with exams and x-rays I would pay $150-$180. Now its $340?! On top of that they are pushing for exams and x-rays even if they are less than 6 months old. Talk about wanting my money. If you don't have insurance they will push you to sign up for some dental savings plan they office for $120 which by the way the plan doesn't include cleanings being covered, instead its 50% off. Do yourself a favor and find another office to go too. I just feel like they don't care and just want the money from the patient and your insurance. Find yourself an honest, well managed dental office please and thank you.
