I’m very disappointed with my experience at Union Village Modern Dentistry. I made an appointment expecting to receive one of my two free cleanings covered by my dental insurance. Instead, I spent nearly two hours getting X-rays and seeing both the hygienist and the dentist, only to be told at the end that I would need to pay an additional $130 for a deep cleaning.
I left without receiving the cleaning I came in for, after wasting two hours of my time. I understand that additional dental treatment may sometimes be necessary, but I wish this had been explained clearly before spending so much time at the office.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I feel that my time was wasted, and I would have appreciated more transparency about the recommended treatment and potential costs upfront. I expected better communication and service.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Union Village Modern Dentistry & Orthodontics. From the very first visit, the entire team made me feel welcomed, cared for, and valued as a patient.
It all started when my crown unexpectedly fell out. I was stressed and worried about how long it would take to get fixed, but they got me in the very same day. Even more impressive, they were able to create a brand-new crown and place it during the same appointment. I walked out with my smile restored and so much peace of mind.
A week later, I returned for my annual exam and cleaning, and once again they exceeded my expectations. They were able to fit me in for my cleaning that same day, which made everything so convenient.

I recieved a deep cleaning over the last 2 days. Victoria did my cleaning and I believe Angie was assisting her (apologies if I have the incorrect name). Victoria, my dental hygienist at Union Village, is the biggest reason I keep coming back. She’s skilled, kind, and wonderfully attentive. I have very sensitive teeth, so a cleaning is not usually my idea of a good time, but she manages to be gentle and thorough without making me feel like a difficult patient.

The rest of the team is friendly, and I appreciate that they respect your time. You make an appointment, and they actually see you when you’re supposed to be seen. In my experience, they give you straightforward advice without pressuring you into extras. I’ve felt that their recommendations have my best interests in mind.

I came here to have a cracked tooth extracted. After THREE appointments, hours of waiting, and money spent, I STILL HAVE THE TOOTH.

First appointment: X-rays and a cleaning were scheduled, but they couldn’t get to the cleaning, so I had to reschedule.

Second appointment: I had a cleaning and filling scheduled for 1 PM and didn’t leave until 5 PM. Four hours for a cleaning and filling is unacceptable. And my main concern — the cracked tooth I originally contacted them about — still wasn’t addressed.

Third appointment: I finally got my cleaning. But as the appointment was wrapping up, I found out the extraction wasn’t happening because the surgeon had gone home early because he wasn’t feeling well. I understand that people get sick, but why am I finding this out at the end of my appointment? And what about my tooth?

The biggest issue is the lack of communication and organization. I was given conflicting information about what needed to be done and what I was being charged for. Three visits later, I still have the problem I originally came in to fix.

Credit where it’s due: the hygienist and assistants were kind, professional, and made me comfortable. Honestly, I’d advise them to find a better office that matches the level of care they provide.

Three chances to live up to that 4.8-star rating. Missed every time.

Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Go somewhere else.

I was delighted to be seen quickly this weekend for a problem tooth. (Very convenient hours!) I've been a patient for four years and have had quite a few procedures, have changed insurance, you name it during this time. The team helps with solutions and are great communicators. Easy parking, bright and sparkling facility. It seemed like there may have been turnover at one point but I have been seeing the same faces the last several visits. They offer options, which at first felt like upselling, but at the end of the day I want to know what options are available. Give them a try!

Hands down the best dental clinic I’ve been to. Everyone was very respectful and friendly. The clinic is immaculately clean. They even have blankets to offer if you feel cold, which I think shows that they really care about their patient’s experience and comfort. Dr. Eric Kristensen gives detailed explanation on what’s going on and what treatment should be done. He entertains questions and does not just dismiss you. Jade was also amazing. I had my first visit here and Alana, Penny all helped me get checked in and settled. They were very welcoming and helpful. Dr. Kristin was my dr and she was really nice. She listened to all of my health concerns. She changed my mind and made me realize that they are good drs out there. I’ve had to advocate constantly with different drs about health concerns and have had drs tell me it’s just me, loose weight, drink more water etc. I mentioned to her some lab work results I’ve had in the past and most drs just dismiss them. One of them being my ferritin iron levels. They went down to a 13 and drs kept telling me it was fine. Even though I kept telling them I felt tired, my hair was falling, felt dizzy and got headaches. They just kept telling me it was hydration. Well Dr Kristin listen and she was the first one to tell me that my levels were in fact low. I felt so happy to find someone not dismiss me. She’s a great dr. And I hope that in my future visits she continues to be that dr she is :) Thank you Dr. Kristin you made me feel acknowledge when others didn’t.

I had such a wonderful experience with my deep cleaning! I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and was very nervous, but Ms. Feven was incredibly gentle and had such a light touch that I didn't feel any pain at all. I didn't even need a numbing injection—just a numbing gel, and the whole procedure was so comfortable.

I'm so grateful for Ms. Feven’s kindness, patience, and excellent care. Everyone at the dental office made me feel so welcome and helped ease my anxiety throughout my visit. Very very pleased with the staff and promptness in getting me seen! I was referred by a friend at work to try out the dentist. I had a broken tooth and they arranged for me to have my tooth taken out within a weeks time. The first appointment took way longer then expected. You have to fill out your paperwork before you go not just to speed things up but because they do not have a way to fill it out in office. (Which I was expecting, normal filling it out online wouldn't be a problem but my phone was acting up). The service was good just for your first appointment give yourself at least 2hr and 30 min leeway. For me this was just a normal appointment aka just a cleaning. I see a dentist very 6months and was just switching dentists.

I have been a patient at this location for several years, and until now I have never had a single negative experience. The staff has always been professional, respectful, and genuinely focused on patient care.Unfortunately, my visit this past Saturday was completely different. The representative (Haidee Damian) who assisted me used an extremely high‑pressure approach that felt inappropriate and unprofessional for a dental office. Instead of discussing my treatment options calmly, she pushed me repeatedly, to the point where it felt more like a sales pitch for a major purchase than a conversation about my health.Even after I clearly stated that I would return for treatment, she continued insisting and ultimately proceeded with an internal application that I did NOT ask for and did NOT fully understand. Run my credit with out an approval. she was it was just soft credit pull. This made me feel pressured, uncomfortable, and disrespected.This behavior does not reflect the quality of care I have always received here, and it left me questioning whether patient comfort and consent are being prioritized. I hope management addresses this issue seriously so that no other patient feels pressured or misled during their visit.

Fantastic staff and work! You might have a longer appt time than expected but these guys do a fantastic job! Dr. Kristensen made fast work of a crown that needed to be done, the cleaning was thoroughly executed by Victoria, and Dr. Chow was an expert for my root canal. They got it all done while ensuring I had no pain. Thank you all for all you do! I'll be bringing my family for any dental needs since you're open for every schedule!

I wish I had found this clinic sooner. The front staff was upfront and honest.

First of all they are open 7 days a week so you can always get an appointment. Very nice place. Staff is friendly and goes out of there way to be helpful. Prices are comparable to other dentist. The dental school here in Las Vegas would cost me the same thing out of pocket so I went with Modern dentistry. They are not just about the money like the last place I went. They are very good at explaining everything and getting exactly what you need taken care of right away. I would highly recommend Union Village Modern Dentistry.

Showed up early for my appointment, did not get seen until an hour after my appointment was scheduled. I watched multiple people come in after me and get seen before me. I was not seen until I asked why am I being skipped over. I was then immediately seen after asking that. On top of that, the AGM lady said I needed a screen for “aids cells.” But when she brought up the same exact screening to the other patients who they moved ahead of me, she specifically did not mention the “aids cells” to them. I paid attention because I wondered if she said that to everyone. The doctor and the dental assistants were great but I felt a weird micro aggressive vibe from the AGM lady in the front.

Nice and clean. Staff are very friendly and know their jobs well. Very attentive to your needs. If you need further in depth work they have someone go over any costs you may endure for the process. Saturday and Sunday appointments. They even have specialized Dr's there on certain days, so you can get any procedure you need done. The set up is nice as they have a pediatric side, and adult side and there is even have a medical Doctor who sees patients for routine medical stuff. Talk about one stop shopping!

Dr Browning & the staff are amazing and very helpful. I love the ease in which I was able to get an appointment, consultation, x-rays and my treatment plan.
I have definitely recommended this office to my colleagues and friends who are in need of dental care services! Not having to be stressed about taking time off from work,(as most dental offices in Nevada are not so accommodating) was a MAJOR +++ for me!
Additionally, I like the whole health approach to healthcare model that they use. Medical & Oral Healthcare working in harmony make it a “no brainer” for me.

Had an absolutely great deep cleaning (Scaling) of my teeth here today. Melissa F. my hygienist was caring, thorough, communicative, and funny. 3 hours flew by.

I just went there for a dental emergency. The tech and dentist were great. Then came the billing rep who presented me with a $4000.00 co-pay for something the dentist said she wasn’t even sure she could do and I was told that I needed to pay $2000.00 for the prep work that the dentist had just said I could have done and that I wouldn’t be charged for the other procedures until they knew they could actually do them. I told her that the dentist said that she wouldn’t charge me for the root canal or the crown until the prep work was done because she wasn’t sure and I was told there was no way that the dentist said that. So I said ok, I’ll pay for the prep work and I was told I couldn’t do that that the crowns had to be paid for and that they only provided porcelain crowns and my insurance didn’t cover them so I had to pay $2000.00 out of pocket to be able to have the prep work that was $90.00 done so I walked out of there still in pain with nothing done to help me and as soon as I got to the parking lot I called my insurance provider and was told that they did cover porcelain crowns and my co-pay was 400.00 and that there was 500.00 in other fees that I shouldn’t of been charged because they are covered. So needless to say I’m very disappointed with the business side of this visit and am upset and annoyed that I have to continue to be in pain because someone didn’t take the time to try to confirm what Inwas told and the charges. Not sure I want to even go back but I’m required to use them. It’s really unfortunate because the Doctor seemed really nice and was willing to help me but the billing rep. refused to even ask the doctor or reach out to my insurance before sending me on my way in pain. So now I need to call my insurance to let them k ow that they refused to help me because I refused to pay costs that I shouldn’t of even been charged and wasn’t allowed to simply pay for the service I was going to get today that would have relieved me from the pain I’m in. I was told well you have to pay for something g I said ok, I’ll pay for the prep work and was told no you have to pay for the crowns. This should not be acceptable practices from a required provider of my insurance and since I’m required to go there these things should not be allowed to happen to people.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your office, particularly regarding the lack of transparency and failure to properly inform me as a patient.

As a first-time patient, I relied entirely on the information provided by your front desk. I was clearly told that my visit, including x-rays, would be covered by my insurance. At no point was it disclosed that a Cone Beam CT scan would be performed, nor was I informed that this procedure is typically not covered and could result in a significant out-of-pocket expense.

Receiving a bill exceeding $600 for a procedure I did not knowingly consent to raises serious concerns. From my perspective, this was presented as a routine x-ray. There was no clear explanation of the difference, no discussion of costs, and no informed consent obtained. This lack of disclosure is not only misleading but falls below the standard of transparency patients should expect when receiving care.

Additionally, I was never informed of a 72-hour cancellation policy at the time of scheduling. Being made aware of this policy only now, while I am dealing with an emergency situation, reflects poorly on your office’s communication practices and patient onboarding process.

Overall, this experience demonstrates a pattern of inadequate communication and disregard for ensuring patients are properly informed before services are rendered. This situation could have been entirely avoided with clear, upfront communication regarding procedures, coverage, and office policies.

I expect a more professional and transparent approach moving forward, as this experience has significantly impacted my trust in your office.

I started coming here a few years ago for myself and my 3 daughters. It was great at first but these recent months it’s been ongoing issues.
Long story short they gave me a quote I went elsewhere for a second opinion and they gave me different options and better quote. I called to talk to them about it and I was told I would get a call back. I never got your call. I decided to cancel all my future appointments.
My daughter got her braces there and I wasn’t told that they only have ortho there 2 times a week and most after school appointments are taken. So now I have to have her miss school to attend her appointments and I have to miss work. Now she being on treatment. I called to reschedule and it’s impossible to get an appointment. It’s very inconvenient and frustrating. I think clients should be warned beforehand that their ortho availability is VERY limited to avoid these issues. Now I’m trying to see if I can take to a different Ortho but it’s not that easy.
