I struggled with whether to write this because there are so many positive reviews, but this was my experience and it has honestly been bothering me for the past week.

From the moment the dentist walked in, the interaction felt uncomfortable. The first thing he said to me was, “Why are you here?” in a condescending, dismissive tone. There was no greeting, no “hello,” and no effort to put me at ease. The entire appointment felt very cold and distant.

Instead of having a conversation about my dental health, the appointment mostly consisted of being lectured about poor dental care. The tone felt judgmental rather than supportive or educational. At one point I was asked if I had “done my research,” in a way that made me feel like I wasn’t an educated person capable of understanding my own health decisions. For context, I hold two graduate degrees, and being spoken to in that way was honestly humiliating.

The interaction made me feel very small, and I actually became emotional during the appointment. I’ve never left a healthcare setting feeling that way before. For me. dental visits can stressful and even traumatic. Compassion, empathy, and professionalism go a long way.

I truly am glad that others have had wonderful experiences here, and I recognize that many of the reviews reflect that. Unfortunately, my experience was very different.

For me personally, I would not recommend this dentist. That said, I encourage others to read the reviews and make their own decision.

Writing this has been difficult. I feel as if I have been subjected to healthcare bias in such a diverse city. I hope sharing my experience will help me move past it.

I've been going to for a few years now. The staff is very professional and know you by name. I never had issue with them or appointments scheduling. Dr. J gives great advice for maintenance. I Highly recommend.

I went back in March for a cleaning in 2004 I went to the dentist for my six months cleaning in March 20 24 and I complained about some pain in one of my upper left tooth… And his wife who was cleaning my teeth told him about an area in my upper right as well. All he said was “keep it clean”. I returned in October for another cleaning and he didn’t say a word about either teeth. A month later, I discover that my one tooth on the upper left side is loose so I immediately went to my husband’s dentist office, where they X-rayed My teeth I now have to pay $8000 for two implants.

I had Stage 4 mouth & throat cancer. Needless to say it wreaked my teeth! They are breaking off at the gums!
Dr Alemi is by far the best most knowledgeable Dentist I have ever have seemed by. He was looking after my best interest not how much money he could make off me.
Hopefully between my Oral surgeon and Dr. Alemi they will come up with a plan to help me get some teeth again.

I am only partly through my dental journey but my faith in dentistry has already been fully restored. The thing I noticed most is how careful and detailed Dr, Alemi is--he works very diligently, and he's already given me back my smile. Words can't capture how grateful I am to have a person with his skill and abilities rendering his services to me--he is truly one of a kind--very special. My procedure was significant, and I barely felt a thing. I must add, the staff, from the front office to the dental assistants, are very, very kind and professional--I am very thankful for them as well.

If you want it done right the first time, Dr. Alemi is your dentist! I learned the hard way. He fixed what another dentist (at a small fortune) had botched then abandoned me when the 'fix' was too difficult. Thank goodness I was immediately referred to Dr. Jabran Alemi by my implant surgeon who I highly respect. Dr. Alemi did the impossible! I am forever grateful to him.

I am a Veteran and I was reffered to Pine Plaza,
initially making a flipper for my mouth. the flipper broke in 3 weeks and I was trying to go and get it replaced. they refused services and didn't want to see me again because he didn't appreciate my comment to him when he asked me what I did for a living. What I do for a living is Non of his business I am a veteran and I was only reffered to his office and I wish I never been there.
Unprofessionalism at its finnest.!!!!

Find a diffrent doctor you don't need to be discriminated by this Iranian Doctor who hates Veterans !!!

My Husband and I have been going to Dessert Smiles for about 8 years. I’ve never been a fan of going to a dentist , but Dr. Parovi and his wife And rest of staff are great. You never wait longer than 5 minutes at most - they are super honest - care about the health of your teeth and do not try to sell you products and services you do not need - like so many other dentists do . They are very concerned with your comfort . I drive from Green Valley Ranch to Summerlin to have them take care of my teeth. My Husband does also - and feels the same as I do .
