I love Dr Debry. I think he’s a brilliant doctor, however, the past year or two he’s gotten so much busier. He’s too busy and I think the quality of his work and also his assistance have gone downhill. Communication is a real drawback too. After a very bad visit with him about four months ago. Where he looked at my eye, he said that’s not normal and he stormed out of the room without any explanation just running off to the next patient. I was really dumbstruck on that one. He did tell me to go to another doctor in his staff, who was very helpful, however, now I’ve lost the trust in Dr Debry. I’m going to get a second opinion with Dr. Sabori at Meadows Eye Center.. I still like Dr Debry. I just wish he hadn’t overbooked his patience. I’d rather have quality, Which means less patience, which I can’t see happening. The damage has been done. it.

Dr. DeBry is the best ophthalmologist I have ever seen. I really appreciated his candor, service, and commitment to results. I had a refractive lens exchange performed by him, and I am very satisfied with the outcome. During my time with him, I felt that his staff was professional and respectful of my needs and time. I was recommended the PanoPTIX Pro MultiFocal Lense in my right eye and a PanOptix Pro Multi Focal Toric in my left eye (astigmatism). I am 90 days post-surgery and feel good about my results. My timeline for a (near) full recovery took about 90 days including: healing, neuroadaptation, and eye dryness. Another thing to consider would be the cost (although I know the doctor can’t help it, I feel the need to acknowledge it is a high price point) but in my experience, it is well worth it. I felt consistent anxiety about my healing process. I would like to mention that while I understand everyone is different, my healing process felt extremely long versus my expectations. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experience and would recommend this service to anyone.

As a side note: My near sight/ far sight/ and intermediate vision are all great and thus far I have no “halos” at the 90 day mark.

Following cataract surgery at an in plan facility 3 years ago, vision was bad and got considerably worse. After a few optometrist visits no info, no suggestions or efforts made.
Through personal references went to see Dr DeBry presenting full written details of my condition.
At the first visit I was extensively analyzed and laser surgery performed.
The resulting clarity of vision is unbelievable!
No fuss just get the damn job done!
The most accelerating event of my last 40 years. Now I can read street signs clearly again. There are many, many more positive things to say but that is all I have space for here.

The office receptionist is very rude on every phone encounter I have had for her and dismissive of my disabilities. I went in 3x last year despite being bed bound, disabled and needing to coordinate a ride. This office strung me along 3 visits, I had clear signs of papilledema and they can see my vision getting worse thru the tests I did in each office with the field of vision tests. My eye pain, papilledema and auras have only gotten worse, and this office ignores me. They then bombarded my dads phone 2 weeks ago, the office lady refusing to give him information then finally rudely informing that I need to see this dr and come in because my original referral was to check my papilledema and to get a referral to see a neuro ophthalmologist. Not sure why she wanted to reexplain that to me, because I am the one who came in 3 times and conveyed thay thoroughly and the other dr in this office dr kristal never wrote me a referral or medication and dismissed me. So then this office lady was extremely rude when i said im bed bound and in too much pain to come in for a 4th time?? This office has the information needed to help me, I did multiple tests in office, my regular eye dr is concerned. papilledema is serious. Why would waiting a whole year suffering and trying to come in for a 4th time be a charm? This front desk lady needs empathy too bc she didnt care, talked over me on the phone, sucks to be me i guess disabled by migraine & eye pain & cant come in to beg for help for a fourth time. something is very wrong. You have the information you need to send me for the help i need, do it. and the one answering the phone and ignoring emails?? needs to go to a class on how to treat the disability community and learn empathy altho if writing a referral & taking my tests seriously is impossible, my guess is that is too. She also ignored me saying im way too sick to come in now for a fourth time, she talked over me to reexplain i need to see the dr because of the papilledema to see if i need a referral (babe im well aware bc thats what i said several times each time i came in.) After the phone call, i received an email with an appointment date & time that i didnt make or say that i could find/pay for yet another ride or find the energy to come in for. So basically to save her butt on her end, she made it look like she made me the appt. Less than helpful, actually seems like a scheme to cover your butt. thanks. & when i emailed saying why is this appt reminder coming up when i didnt make this? is the 4th time going to be a charm? She ignored my emails like all my other ones. seriously disturbing.

I had to have laser surgery as a follow up to cataract surgery done by Dr. Debry. His technical skills cannot be denied. He is a skilled clinician without a doubt. BUT, he doesn't communicate. He did the procedure and then was out the door before any real questions could be asked. I needed to start on eye drops four times a day. I was given no direction on when to start them. Was I to start today? Tomorrow? And, what about follow up. The informational packet said a follow up would occur in 3-4 weeks. But, I was scheduled for 6 months out. I left the office very confused. So, even though I am glad that Dr. Debry was my eye surgeon, I wish that more communication and patient education was provided..

Doctor good, office run badly. You sit for usually a couple hours because they overbook to the max. I waited as people who walked in to office twenty minutes or longer after me we're taken ahead of me. We never did get that appointment finished, we left and will come back there or maybe not there.

This doctor is not a 4 ir 5 star. He did 2 surgeries on an eye i can not see out of, he was not careful when he examined my eye, I always had to remind him. He had to repeat my surgery because it did not react as he hoped, he did not like me expressing my disappointment in his staff ir the brightness that tortured me every visit. 13 years ago I had a cornea transplant in Florida. It was the one of most traumatic experiences I've had. During the surgery I saw, felt and remembered everything. My daughter said she could hear me screaming from the surgical suite. The transplant has been failing for a years, but I was terrified history would repeat. I moved to Nevada and found Dr. Peter W. DeBry, M.D. from the NV Eye Surgery in Henderson, NV. When I called, they were able to get me in immediately. Speaking with Dr. DeBry, I explained that my fears were off the chart, but he assured me that I would be ok. I asked to speak to his anesthesiologist. Within an hour Dr. Scott Bowman contacted me. I sharred my previous experience and stated that I had "sugical awareness". He was very understanding and said I had PTSD from the prior surgery. I was still frieghtened, but a bit more assured that I would be ok. After the surgery, I jokingly accused Dr. DeBry of not doing the surgery because I had NO PAIN. Not ever! I was overwhelmed. I didn't feel any pain during surgery or after. Everyone at NV Eye Surgery was kind and understanding. Thank you Dr. DeBry. You are amazing and a blessing!

My appointment went well as scheduled for my consultation with Dr. DeBry and the entire team were very nice and well organized. Another eye company switched my husband from an eye glass exam to a soon we were in another room finding out how much cataract surgery cost. Our Dr. in Ca told us he was not ready for the surgery. I have been seeing Dr DeBry for severe glaucoma for over five years and I’ve had multiple eye surgeries with him. He is excellent. I also just had cataract surgery on both eyes over the summer and I’m very pleased. I am seeing 20/20 in both eyes! I need to use reading glasses but that’s a small price to pay for fantastic distance vision. Never could get that good of a correction with glasses or contact lenses.

I had my first visit with Dr. DeBry & his staff a few days ago. I’ve had issues with “cloudy” vision since I had cataract surgery 2 years ago by another dr. I had already known of Dr. DeBry because of his fine work as a result of my grandson sustaining an injury and losing sight in one eye. Dr DeVry was able to restore his sight and although it isn't 20/20, he sees which I doubt would have been the case had he gone to another doctor..When my regular optometrist told me that I had large cataracts I equested Dr. DeBry do the surgery. I am now 20/20 vision in both eyes and as a result of his work I'm able to see so much better in the dark and when you drive that's especially important. Dr. DeBry is kind, understanding and I don't think anybody would find a better doctor anywhere. We are so blessed here in Las Vegas to have a top doctor such as himself. His practice is well run, his staff is extremely obliging and patient. Again you could not go to anyone or anywhere better.

Great doctor. I used him for a second opinion for a glaucoma diagnosis. My goal was to find a glaucoma specialist since improper management and care can lead to blindness.

My eye heath is very important to me, therefore I did my research. Dr. DeBry graduated top of his class from a leading university and has other honors and training that made me comfortable in knowing that I was in skilled and highly capable hands.

After my exam and confirmation of the diagnosis, he gave me a comprehensive guide for glaucoma which included a four star patient program. Through this guide, I learned so much about my disease. I don’t have any symptoms of glaucoma and my last ocular check in 2021 was normal so I know I caught it early. I feel completely comfortable under Dr. DeBry’s care.

This program is great for me and I can’t wait to see what the prizes are!!! Wish me luck! :-)

There are offices that can keep their appointed time on time or at least 5 minutes lapse time but not Dr. DeBry’s office. He should consider making appointments in real time specially during this pandemic. The office is also lacking disinfection system. One star is too many. Beware of this practice. I had cataract surgery in 2019. This should have been a simple routine surgery according to Dr. Debry and his staff. First he will try to upsell you to a special upgraded IOL (lens) which you have to pay for out of your own pocket as insurance doesn't recognize or approve it. The fear tactic worked; I bought the "best" lens. My left eye wasn't done correctly, I couldn't see and that was blamed on the IOL (lens), so the surgery was repeated. After the second surgery and a different IOL (lens), I then had limited vision. I have had nothing but pain and all sorts of vision issues since, all of them blamed on my previous lasik done years ago. I now cannot see with my left eye, and had to find an eye surgeon to correct the mess made of my left eye. I have been told by two different eye surgeons that the lens that is in my left eye is obsolete; no surgeon uses that lens because it had a history of failure. Don't make the same mistake I made with your precious eyesight. If you get any red flags, don't ignore them like I did, find a different practice. Have to add, I just got home from seeing my "new" Ophthalmologist who had to remove a piece of broken stitch that was cutting up my eye from this original cataract surgery. PS: I was originally told from Dr. Debry's practice that there were no stitches used in cataract surgery! Please beware!

Dr. DeBry is the best trained, best qualified glaucoma specialist in Las Vegas, that's why I chose to go to him, I am new to Las Vegas. The problem I have is with staff, on my last visit the staff who was testing visual field finished one eye but after that she left, she did not return until quite a bit after the second eye test was done, at this time another staff came in. Also, I ended up staying in the clinic over 2.5 hours, this is too long, I was the first one for the post lunch schedule. Also, I asked Dr. DeBry that I wanted to see him twice a year instead of three times a year. He said fine but a staff came out with a three times a year schedule.
I understand that Dr. DeBry needs to see someone like me at certain frequency but I am writing here that if anything happens to my eye condition I would be the one to blame, not Dr. DeBry. I will take that responsibility. I am ready to die and I am not crazy trying to live another day or month.

Overall, the surgery went great! Dr. DeBry is very attentive and always answered my texts when I had questions. All the staff is kind.
I took off a star bc there were a few things... Post surgery I wish they had better protective eyewear against the sun. Had flimsy plastic shades, then there was a minor mix up with my prescriptions. The wrong eyedrops were setup for refill when I needed a different kind, then on my last check up a suture was still in my eye. Turns out that's what may have caused some unnecessary irritation. Other than those things, great facility.

Nice, clean, efficient office. Good medical care and usually the MD spends as much time as needed. You do need to ask probing questions as info isn’t always forthcoming. Their patient portal is a joke, though. I submitted a request several times and got a response through the portal. Ended up having to call and couldn’t get in touch with the correct person.

I had seen another glaucoma specialist fora couple of years and was confident the care was good. I moved to Dr. Debry for a couple reasons, being closer to home was just one important factor because these days I minimize cross-town driving. Dr. Debry did a surgical procedure on one of my eyes, and the result was as positive as could be hoped for. (I had neglected glaucoma med's and postponed treatment so badly that correction was known to be impossible BEFORE Dr. Debry did what he could for me, but I wanted to preserve what I could in my damaged eye. About 3 years post surgery, I continue to see Dr. Debry with confidence in his knowledge, experience and concern. (If you have or suspect glaucoma, diagnosis and treatment must be your first priority because you cannot reverse the damage of glaucoma.)

I was referred to Dr. DeBry about 4 years ago by my optometrist because she suspected developing glaucoma. The optometrist was right. Dr. DeBry is an excellent opthamologist and I think he may be the best eye surgeon in the Las Vegas Valley. He has always answered my questions thoroughly and, when prompted, in greater depth than most doctors usually do. I consider Dr DeBry expert in the procedures performed. I also find his Henderson location convenient and well managed. I consulted another opthamologist whose office was so busy that it required multiple and up to three hour visits to accomplish what Dr DeBry completed in 30 minutes. Likewise, the follow up time commitment of his primary competitor is absurd

Something else worth noting: Dr DeBry’s primary competitor does not offer laser. Beyond that, if you call Shephard you’re talking to Shepherd. If you call an opthamologist other than Shepherd or DeBry, you’re probably still doing business with Shepherd

As mentioned elsewhere in other reviews, the appointment process is more than challenging. Our primary care physician upon the conclusion of his exam wanted further evaluation by an opthamologist and recommended Dr Debry. The office refused a first appointment, remarkable isn't it? Apparently, the office relies upon a patient's self diagnosis to triage for care. Rapid detiorioization of eyesight is to common, warrantying less revenue, as their practice mission statement.

Most efficient Ophthalmology office I've ever visited. Last year I spent over 3 hours for testing & exam at Dr. Wellish's Henderson office. I left the Wellish office feeling like I might be "persuaded" into immediate cataract surgery. Thus, I started looking on the web for someone to give me a good 2nd opinion. Dr. Peter DeBry's qualifications and other reviews got my attention. Then by sheer coincidence, I found out Dr. DeBry did cataract surgery on my mother 15+ years ago (and at age 93 she has 20/20 vision per her driving test).

One year ago, Dr. Debry's office did much more extensive and exam in 90 minutes. Dr. Debry said I did not need cataract surgery at that time. If I am happy with my current vision I was advised to delay any other procedures as well.

January 2021. I elected to get cataract surgery in R eye to improve my vision. Being on basic Medicare A+B I had a hard time finding out EXACTLY what my out-of pocket 80/20 co-pay costs would be. Now that I've had it done, I'm happy to share the info you may also want: Dr Debry $160, Box Canyon Surgery Center $286, Anesthesiologist $30 and $0 charge for next day follow-up at Dr office. Procedure went smoothly but it's been only 24hrs and my vision has not improved. I'm hoping that as the drugs wear off and eye heals, I can edit this review and report better results.

The Wellish Henderson office is newer, fancier and Dr. Wellish does has an excellent reputation but I'll take what I believe is a more honest diagnosis and more efficient office any day!

My doctor is Peter DeBry he is a glaucoma specialist that’s why I went to him I am very satisfied with his work he also prescribed eyedrops to bring down the pressure. I had surgery on my right eye and it’s doing fine I can see much better with the eye pressure down. He always monitor my pressure when I go in and check my eyes to see if there’s any other damage from the glaucoma

I do not suggest that anyone go to Dr Debry. After charging me more then double of what other doctors charge, he has ruined my eyes for the rest of my life, I have cobwebs over both eyes and anywhere I go I have halo around lights, He guarantied me no floaters or halos and I have them both, of course he would never admit that he guaranteed it. I had to sell my car cause I can not drive at night any more. I have gone to other eye drs and they all say the same Why would he use those lens.

Dr. Debry, his Eyes Technicians, and Surgery Schedule Secretary did an "Outstanding" job on my initial cataract surgery assessment. One small administrative scheduling needs management attention! I am a contact wearer for 40+ years and the Scheduler did not advise me to not wear my contact lens for 10 - 14 days prior to my 1st visit to measure my eye measurements. I made the appointment 14 days prior to my 1st visit. Scheduler told me to just take off the contact lens 1 day before my 1st visit. This failure to communicate the eye measurement requirements between the Technicians & Schedulers has led me to come in for a repeat eye measurements 10 days later resulting in loss of time, energy, and resources. Please fix this issue for future contact lens wearers. Thank you!

Dr DeBry did a fantastic job of cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I can't believe what a difference it makes. I can see better than when I was a kid. I wore glasses and/or contacts for sixty years and now I wear neither plus I can see like an eagle. I highly recommend Dr DeBry.

I went to Dr DeBry for a eye infection and he did nothing regarding the infection and treated me for glaucoma only. Due to his complacency and incompetence my corneas were scarred and my eyesight is going blind
Went to another surgeon that immediately found and treated the i.fection
But by then it was too late
Now need to have a corneal transplant.

Dr. DeBry, has done for me what many other great Doctors, in the last 43 years, never intent or wanted to do, Because, since I am blind from one eye and I have Glaucoma and High Astigmatism and Catharat in the eye I can see, Doctors treat me for 18 years with eye drops and they never work. Having very high eye pressure Dr DeBry decided to do surgery on my eye, Al,l other Doctors. would not considered for the risk on my only eye. Dr DeBry He is so incredible positive of his knowledge, experience and confident of the outcome, that He remove my catarat. did fix my astigmatism anf fix my high eye pressure by doing a surgery on the eye and the results are: Phenomenal , My eye pressure is 10,normal my astigmatism is normal and my catharat is gone. I wear glasses since I was 5 , I can see without glasses better than I ever see in my life. I will be greatful to Dr. DeBry for the rest of my life. I went in surgery with a 101% trust in the Doctor. I was referred to Nevada Eye Surgury by the V A when the VA sends you outside there system you never know was coming up but I had a great experience with Nevada Eye some Dr have you waiting when your in for what your there for but at Nevada Eye thing moved right along all the staff was great the last person you see goes over whats coming up and she was friendly and answeers any questions you might have. I would reccomend them to any one that needs eye care. In short I don't think I could be in better hands.
