I found Dr. Jacobson's office 4 years ago when I took over my step father's care and they've always been so attentive, Dr. Hendershot has shown the same level of care since he took over. My step father has been to a few other podiatrists who only looked at his feet and prescribed medication, which is not very helpful due to him having a fungal infection which means his toe nails can only be trimmed by professionals. This office is amazing, they trim and file down his nails so he can continue walk comfortably. Attached photos may be disturbing for some, but I wanted to show how well they cut and trim toe nails even in extreme cases. My step father is 68 years old and he appreciates the care he gets from Dr. Hendershot and his staff. Not to mention whenever we need to schedule or reschedule, office staff is quick to answer the phones and are able to help whenever needed. We highly recommend this office!

I'm leaving this review on behalf of my wife. She had been suffering from pain of her metatarsophalangeal joint (MTP) for several years. X-rays showed she had bone spurs on the dorsal surface of the MTP. She had gone to see Dr Jacobson to help her resolve her foot pain. He recommended surgery. "Is my toe still going to work after the surgery?", she wanted to know. "Yes" he said plainly. He was very hard to communicate with and he offered little information. Out of desperation and because she was in so much pain from the bone spurs, she scheduled the surgery. Dr Jacobson performed a bunionectomy. The complete removal of the MTP joint. Her big toe hinge was never going to move again. She did have a very mild bunion not enough to warrant the complete removal and fusion of her big toe hinge. The joint was replaced with a fixed piece of plastic that we later learned would cause inflammation for the rest of her life. He had set the toe at 120° angle up. That's a lot. How is she's supposed to wear a shoe on that foot? "Wear men's shoes", he said. She went to all of the post surgery follow-up appointments. He couldn't explain why she was in so much pain. I watched him palpate her post-surgery toe. Unaware of his own sense of touch, he pushed his finger into the injury hard enough to make her cry. Not only was he unapologetic, I heard him joking about it after he left the examination room. After a year of trying to recover she went to a different orthopedic surgeon who took apart this man's work and redid it so that it would look somewhat normal. She is still in pain to this very day, much worse than she had pre-Jacobson-surgery. And of course without her big toe hinge working she will walk with a limp for the rest of her life. She has been maimed by this so-called doctor. Please do not trust this man with your body.

INCOMPETENT OFFICE STAFF is always what KILLS BUSINESS FOR THE GOOD DOCTOR.

emergency visit. had a horrible ingrown that needed a nail evulsion. saw the doctor, he was fantastic, made my way out of the patient room to the front desk counter *** AND SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED a total of what my (patient responsibility) was. I was given $100. I paid it. Should have been the end of it. Several months later, I start receiving a bill stating that my patient co insurance was not met. I call, I speak to the nitwit in charge of billing and she states she will rebill. Thought it was done. Today I get a phone call from this incompetent woman who is supposed to know how to understand insurance billing, co-pays, and co-insurance. I told her (for the 3rd time) that when I stood in front of her after the appointment she ASSURED ME that she reviewed the co-insurance requirements and that I was all set. TWICE. Today I had the disgusting experience of also dealing with their repulsive receptionist Danielle who thought it was better to hang up on me than get her mgr.

I want to begin by saying that the women in his office are the nicest, friendliest most helpful staff I have encountered in Vegas. I actually thought that Dr. Jacobson was also very pleasant and helpful when we first met.
That all changed today when I had to return my orthotics because they rubbed in the wrong spot and made my toe feel worse. I have had these orthotics for some time and wore them comfortably in most of my shoes. But I injured my big toe and he decided to augment them to take the pressure off. Well, after a week of trying to walk in them in all my usual shoes, it just wasn't right. I expected him to make some adjustments to correct it.
But that didn't happen. He first told me I ever should have been given them if he wasn't there. huh? ok, how am I suppose to know that? I think we moved passed that and after he examined them he told me the ortodics were fine it was my shoe that was the problem. I said I've been wearing these shoes and others with the orthotics with no problem, only after you adjusted them, now they don't fit. He gave me three choices, get a shot for the inflamation, get surgery or go to someone else. I'm baffled by this?? What happened to the kind Dr. I first met? Clearly he was upset about something but I have no idea why? So basically I paid $150.00 to have my orthotics RUINED with no further help from him.
