My father’s care was ok. I say this because the medical care industry has gone to the toilet. The nurse can’t do anything the Dr. will not do anything, the CNA do everything.
Example. My
Father’s ear was bleeding. The nurse stuffed a gauze in it and the dr said “that is not in my scope of practice” he didn’t even LOOK!

I often found him dirty with food all over his shirt, and I get my stubborn ole dad didn’t care. But I did. That should be a mandatory change Of clothing.
Like I said the CNA did everything. You pushed a button, they were there. As the nurses sat in the hall making notes on their computer. Then the CNA would say… let me go get a nurse. The physical therapy and Jill with speech therapy was fantastic!
So honestly I didn’t know what to expect. So I say the service was good. Not great. I can’t blame you… the medical CARE has dropped the last word in the industry. It more like medical note keeping.

My first time at a rehab hospital. As I had my hip replaced, a patient next to me recommended this place. She was absolutely dead right! I was there for 7 days. I had amazing care. So many people, and such kind, caring, and professional treatment. They truly listened to me. I am a full participant in my health care, and all staff were very helpful and were very forth coming communicating my care and meds. In terms of staff, there were so many, and I hate to leave anyone out. RN's Tanya, Jose, Ginger, Jenny, and others, Amazing hardworking caring individuals. These nurses are the heartbeat of this facility. CNA's Daysean, Tee, and all the others, again, amazing.

OT and PT - I can't say enough about these people. PT Jibu -thank you so very much for helping me get stronger every day, and so patient as I worked on getting those muscles to work again. You are the best!!! OT Martiny - you are the best! Thanks for explaining the meaning of the "Fun with weights and cones" show! Although it seemed silly at the time, your explanation helped so much. I learned what it was for and why it was important to my recovery. Thank you for that. You were very helpful showing me techniques for safer management of my body at home. It was an amazing experience.

Terrible staff! My mother stayed there for 2 weeks! Nurses would take hours to check up on her! I found her full of throw up one time and waited to see when they would go check on her! Took them almost 2 hours! She could have choked on her throw up and no one would’ve helped her! Her gown was changed maybe 2x while there! When u would push the button to call them they would literally take about 1 hour to see what you needed. Worst place ever! Don’t send your family member to that place! They don’t care about patients.

My experience at Encompass Rehab Hospital was excellent. The staff was professional, compassionate, and truly dedicated to my recovery. From the therapists to the nurses and doctors, everyone made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way. I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made and highly recommend Encompass to anyone in need of rehabilitation care. Their OT Hannah and PT Trish were 💯 top notch I miss them both daily & my CNA's Senait, Raven, Desean and Tommy were also the best & my RN'S Nida, Von & Roxy & I think her name was ludgid something like that shes from costa rica also we're very kind and caring...there were a couple of hiccups but these individuals and everyone in the dietary made it still be a great place to be at. And every one was always kind to me. I give it a 10 out of 10 thanks to all & my case worker!!! (I was there for almost a month)

The staff was pretty good. I was surprised. My dad did have issues with the food. He was given a choice of foods for each meal, but most of the time he didn't receive what he ordered. That's the main reason for only getting 4 Stars.

Great facility staff is very helpful and friendly personally I think they need to work on a better cook but that's my opinion I would use them again. The physical therapy you receive is really good they're sole job is to get you feeling better and walking if possible or at least building up your strength the therapy department is amazing.

I was a patient there for 4 weeks i had surgery on my right leg from a broken Femur the beginning was horrible I hated when CNAs would touch my leg because of the pain I was in I obviously couldn't do much I was on NWB but thanks to the therapists I worked with 3 hours a day I left there being able to lift my leg on my own that was due to my will to refusing to end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Now with their help I now work my legs everyday now that I am home. Only God knows where I'd have ended up at if they have not worked daily on me n my leg. As for the Staff of Encompass they were all very helpful n wonderful to me.

The facility is amazing great staff. But the case worker is a liar and very rude. She never called me to confirm which other facility to send my mother and during a meeting. I had with her she told me “they were never going to kick my mom to the curb”. But then turns back and rush the process for her to go to a facility that would actually take care of my mother. I have been here twice and had no issues either time. I should have posted a review after both visits but didn't feel the need to since I was able to walk out both times. To all those that say this is a bad place I don't believe it. I was in two different sections both times I was here and had excellent service. When I needed something they were always there within a few minutes unless they happened to be busy. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs help recovering. You say my name to any of the staff and they would probably remember me. Don't get me wrong there is a small chance that the issues people posted were true I just.dont believe it. All staff was super nice and attentive for the two weeks I was there each time. I went in unable to walk and was able to walk out in just two weeks. That to me says it all. Thank you to all the staff and if I'm ever in need of rehabilitation I will definitely come back no matter my insurance. As long as you take it of course 😁.

I just would like to thank ALL the staff at this facility…My mommy Wendy Bell had her 4th stroke & was in there for a little under two weeks…When she got transferred from Centennial Hills, she couldn’t stand, walk, or even move her left side of her body. Durning her stay, I witnessed such charismatic & genuine staff. EVERYONE was extremely patient with my mommy & understanding. This was the BEST place for her to be. As I was present to a few of her physical therapy sessions, I appreciated the motivation & encouragement that the therapy poured into my mommy. Made her go harder & actually WANT to do her exercises. I would like personally thank a few ppl…Thank you to nurse Dayshawn, Keisha, OT Brandy, Speech Therapist Stephanie. Allan, Sam. & Everyone else that helped out with Wendy. She appreciates you ALL !!!! My siblings & I can’t thank you guys enough !!!! Please continue such care with every person that steps foot on your facility. 🫶🏾

My dad was a patient here after a bad car accident. Staff were immediately responsive when the call light was pushed, his food arrived at the same time everyday, staff was friendly, and the RNs and Doctors were always checking to make sure his pain was managed. I work in hospitals, and will say their care was excellent 👍

Nurses and staff in general were great but the decision makers need a better understanding of patients pain. No one should have to cry for 2 hrs and then wait five hrs to get relief.
PT and OT staff were sweet and understanding.

1 nurse in particular was really caring and sweet.

Food was surprisingly good.

My father was transferred to the 1250 S Valley View establishment for a broken hip in 2023. The attention and care he received at the establishment as well as the Patient coordinator from Nellis AFB were outstanding! The Patient coordinator Ms. Daria introduced me to the entire staff that would be attending to my father. I have no complaints, the staff on hand at 1250 S Valley were caring and treated him like a human being...I could not be more satisfied with the outcome of his care. The establishment was clean and the staff (Nurses, PT, OT to the front desk lady) was Wonderful!!!! THANK YOU ALL for everything!!!

Worst facility ever! Lots of staff no one doing anything. My mother hadn't received her dementia medicine in four days. Came in oxygen was in the low 80's and oxygen was unhooked from the wall. She was completely out of it. Asked for help took forever for someone to check on her. Ask for doctor, no show. Gave a medication list on day of admission and she still didn't receive all of her meds

The team here are amazing. My significant other was a patient here for a month and was taken care of above our expectations. Olumide, Cori, Annie, Dayton, Elizabeth and Wendy really went above and beyond the call of duty to help my significant other recover from his stroke symptoms. This team, from the receptionist to the dietary team should have saint status. They really exceeded my expectations. My S.O. has been home for a little over a week and I had a question regarding his prescriptions and their pharmacist returned my call less than 30 minutes after I contacted them. Amazing service. Knowledgeable staff that wants the best for their patients. You can't go wrong.

My first hour there, I had an RN come in and invading my privacy by taking pictures of my new and old surgery sites. The problem with this is I had a temp of 102.8 it was 9 pm and the worse part is she left me exposes and my body parts up on the screen with my door open for anyone to see and of course the CNA got an entire eye full. His face was beet red. I did report it and I was told that this was 'normal ' practice to the photos. My response was, she left me partially naked in hospital gown, all the images were on her screen and these pictures were in my file for anyone to see. I felt as I'd been violated, and degraded.
Then, I was diagnosed with the shingles, placed on lock down on a Friday afternoon until late Monday! I was informed that I should not have visitors and no kids or pregnant women could come visit. I could not have the planned visit with my grandkids and family due to this. I was started on anti viral medication come to find out that it wasn't shingles it was a fever blister that I came from Sunrise Hospital with all that for Nothing! I was not happy because nobody took responsibility for that and to be diagnosed with soothing that I know I didn't have was absolutely unprofessional. By the way, I had been inoculated with the shingles vaccine before I was admitted. The last thing that took the cake was Bryan the case Manager, basically, I did not get a good feel from him from the start. Long story short I was on heavy antibiotics because they thought I had Mersa or Sepsis in my suture site! I had been there for two plus weeks, when I was informed by Bryan, that I was going to be discharged home with a midline (had been placed in my arm 2 weeks before), and that I would have a nnurse come into my home and administer the antibiotics for me, then he came back the next day to inform me that my insurance doesn't pay for home health, which I informed him that I recieved a letter in mail recently stating they would, Bryan refused to take the letter and phone the insurance Co to get info. He even had the nerve to tell me to call them! Not my job I'm the patient and i wasnt going to do what he was being paid to do!
I was discharged on Jan ,29, 2024 with a midline in my arm a promise from bryan (who kept coming back to me with diffrent stories about the outpatient care that I one would receive when I got home). All lies!
More to the story, actually, a nightmare for me! I called and asked to speak to Bryan's supervisor, Patricia, until this day, she has not retuned my call.
The ONLY reason, I gave 3 stars is because of Ms Victoria in OT and Ms Trish PT. Ms Victoria, was a strong advocate on my health and how I was treated while there. I felt that they were sincere, caring and professional towards me.
Melissa, CNA, Diane, RN, Maria, RN, and Richard, RN, were awesome on providing the proper care for me.
There is a lot more to tell, but not enough room.

First off I want to start by thanking physical therapy AKA pain and torture and occupational therapy AKA other therapy they are wonderful the wonderful staff they really work with you they're kind and very loving and they care they have concerns. They really help you out so much. The kitchen also your food comes hot all the time which is really nice for a change! However the doctors need to be worked with because they don't listen to the patient's concerns or what their body tells them because they know their body better than anyone so you don't get what you properly need. I went in to build up the muscle in my knees before surgery but I came out with full-blown hives and pneumonia which I knew was coming on and I'm back in the hospital because of them and their failure of putting me in a room when I have Lupus with someone who had pneumonia.. they also like to push you out pretty quick which I don't like I think if you're not ready to go home you don't feel safe you need more work I think they should listen to you because that's why you're there in the first place. But overall I gave them four stars because they really do try I only had one bad nurse who didn't wear gloves when accessing my port changing the dressing and touching with her bare hands on the needle that goes into my port can be infected very dangerous and life-threatening if not taking care of properly should always wear a mask myself and nurse included and sterilized gloves. Also a lot of the nurses did not use alcohol when rubbing my pork down and I didn't like that either but it was always too late for me to say something cuz I'm blind and I smell alcohol but I didn't on several occasions so there are issues that need to be worked on but overall I have to say that the physical therapy would you go for on the occupational therapy are outstanding I want to thank martini, heather, tony, meg, and if I left anybody out them as well they were outstanding and they made you feel really good about yourself and always put you in a good mood so don't ever decline working out with them just do it you will not regret it you will feel so much better even if you are in pain.

I would not send my worst enemy to this place. This is the second Encompass my father was sent to (the first one being over on St Rose where he came out and was back in the hospital the next day septic). This place started out okay, but things quickly went down hill. 1st off, the case manager was horrible! Never returned calls (which he was telling people that I never returned the one call I missed of his and I have proof that I called 3 separate times and never heard back!) and did not communicate. When I had first talked to the case manager I made it clear that we needed some notice when my dad was going to be discharged. Then last Wednesday (August 2nd), my dad informed us he was being discharged THAT DAY! The case manager never let us know. There was another incident that my dad was left bleeding all night after having had a procedure done on his ear. To make things worse, at one point when a nurse was changing the bandage on his ear, instead of pulling dealing with the hair that had gotten in the tape, he just cut a section of his hair! How is that acceptable? To top it off they were not changing bandages or applying the medication that was needed and the stitches got infected. The last draw was when the week before he was discharged I was finally able to talk to a nurse and see if they had been checking his urine as it was not looking good and he is prone to UTIs. I was told they had not checked it since he had come in and they would check it. When we picked him up last week it was very clear he had another UTI and they did nothing to take care of it! So beware if you are told your family is being sent here. They may come out in worse condition than when they came in. Completely unacceptable!

We have been here for about 20 days. My mom doesn’t want to leave because she likes everyone here so much. They have been kind and helpful and her therapists have gotten every ounce of improvement out of her that was possible. It is impressive to see the difference. Thank you James for your persistence and for the good therapists, nurses and CNA’s. I would give them ten stars if I could.

I'll begin by saying that I had an excellent stay at Encompass, everyone is really nice the therapists are amazing and they go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Food is really good too. I needed special silverware for my condition which was provided.
The reason I'm taking off 3 stars is because of the discharge. I was shuffled between 2 case workers and the one who discharged me knew nothing about my case. I was uncertain about the exact day I'd be discharged to begin with. The day of, I felt like I was being put out. They told me I'd be receiving a shower chair and a wheelchair as well as a nurse aid, and occupational and physical therapy because I'm not really in good shape to be honest yet. Mind you I cannot walk right now. I have been home a week and I've received nothing. They didn't check to make sure if who they referred me to takes my insurance (they do not) I would have to go back to the Dr or hospital to start the process over of getting my wheelchair and I have to wait until I see my primary to try again to receive any therapy. If you have no family or you can't borrow medical equipment you would be in a really bad situation dealing with them. I really need a neurologist. I spoke to the dr about a specific neurologist,
But he referred me to a completely different one (after I called the one we spoke about)and I don't know who it was.They do not return calls, you have to keep calling them as well. I would not return because I should not have to jump through hoops to make sure I can have continued care afterwards, they need to be reported for this negligence.

I did not know what to expect but I got the best care available. My physical therapist Alex was the best and my Occupational Therapist Trish was awesome. These angels worked so hard for me.

The whole therapy staff was wonderful. DJ, Matt, Matik, Victoria and especially Rico made my experience wonderful. I'm sorry if I did not mention everyone but you're all in my heart.

I will say the staff is very friendly and kind my mother is in this facility from having a stroke. What I am disgusted about is the discharge process I was not notified about my mothers discharge until four days before her discharge date giving me no time to figure things out. I am a busy woman with my own business and now have only four days to figure things out on my own which should be the caseworkers job Mary Jane. She’s terrible no compassion at all I think she chose the wrong field to work in. She isn’t helping me at all with what to do moving forward with my mother. I wouldn’t recommend her to work with your significant other or parent period.

I love this place and the people that work here, from all the therapists to the nurses they are all great. It’s a nice environment while trying to move my body in it, also talking to people like Jenna, Alex, James, Rondale, Rocco, their all great and I’m sure that everyone else is great too! I would love to visit and talk to some of the therapists that I had the pleasure of meeting and spend some time with them, they’re like a nice family that I had while over there, I’d love to be an OTA and work here too one day

My Mom was at this facility. She absolutely loved all of the hospital staff and therapists. When she arrived she couldn't even get out of bed. She is walking with a walker, dressing herself and eating meals at the family kitchen table. Our family is incredibly grateful. They brought our Mom back to us!

The Worst Place in Las Vegas! They will only treat you well if you have good insurance and don’t give them trouble. As soon as you start questioning them they will get very rude and ignore you. The nurses have no patience and are rude with patients. Its a lie that there is a Dr 24hrs. The recruiters that call the family have nothing to do with you or your loved one after they have got you in( they are actually the nice ones John and Carina). Look elsewhere. They must pay for good reviews.

Horrible experience my first time visiting this hospital. I went to this facility yesterday with my spouse to visit my Father-In-Law. The best experience was the lovely woman at the front desk who checked us in. She was very kind and pleasant and pointed us towards his room. Well that's where it went downhill. Upon entering my Father-in-law's room was rudely told by his nurse she was doing something for him and needed 30 minutes. We completely understood this and decided to wait the time out in the inviting lobby or "wait area". After sitting for 15 minutes some rude person, didn't catch her name or title told us the waiting area was not really for waiting as they are still following covid protocols. This makes sense to me (even though we were masked up), but seeing as how there are no signs, the furniture is there and even the fireplace was on seemed pretty darn inviting to us. If there were signs or we were told this upon check-in it would have been totally understandable. We told this "administrator" he had about 15 minutes before we could go back to his room. It was clear she was still not happy, but let it go. She then took it upon herself to harass the elderly man who was a party of 3. He was waiting while his family were visiting whoever their loved one was. This was EXTREMELY rude and unwelcoming and makes me wonder what kind of care my Father-in-law is receiving. Oh and let me also mention how various hospital workers stop what they're doing and stare at you as you walk by..no smiles, hello or anything just stares. We were dressed appropriately so not sure what the stares were about.

Sidenote. I Learned this afternoon my Mother and law and niece and nephew were able to visit today and one waited in the "waiting room" while the other two visited and they did not receive any warnings like we received yesterday. Clearly this place makes rules when they feel like it. I look forward to my Father-In-Law being released as I don't even feel comfortable visiting him while he's still at this place.

If how we were treated is any indication how patients are treated I would do more research first.

I was hit by a car and from the hospital spoke with someone at encompass explaining that I still needed a surgery and that I was new to Las Vegas and would not have anywhere to discharge to so I needed to make sure that my discharge date would line up with my next hospital surgery. The woman from encompass told me they usually are approved by insurance for 7-14 days and would then just have to submit for additional time so it shouldn't be an issue. I was admitted on the 28th of November. I was told by encompass staff that a follow up at the hospital was made for the following Tuesday. Case worker Olumide told me that I was to be discharged on Tuesday. I explained again my concerns because I would have no place to discharge and that the original person I spoke with before agreeing to come said it shouldn't be a problem with getting more time. The day before my follow up a nurse told me I didn't have any appointment and that I was being discharged. I asked them why they told me there was and they told me that most patients admitted with them have an appointment within 7 days after arrival. I asked who was supposed to make the appointment and they told me the patient. which I find hard to believe given the fact that I had no communication with anyone at the hospital and was given no instructions on any follow up, or that I needed to make an appointment. I explained again to Olumide that I had no place to discharge. I have a fractured leg and a fractured shoulder so I can't use crutches or walker. Only a wheel chair. He I asked if he knew any organizations that might help with assisting me to pay for a motel room on the first floor that would be wheelchair accessible at least until the surgery, as I would have to go right back to rehab after surgery to learn to walk again with my right leg. After I reached out to him he said no agency would help me. I would have to be discharged into a shelter!! I told him I would feel very concerned with that as I am in a wheelchair, Can not get around well if it is not a wheelchair accessible property and still need assistance with showering, and some other things since I only have use of one hand. Also I tested positive when I arrived to the rehab facility and I asked them would they test me again before discharge and they said no, they would just assume I don't have it after 10 days. So they are concerned about their staff enough to have them wear PPE and have me in isolation but don't care about exposing a large group of people in a close environment because its a shelter. Bridget who is a disease control person I assume here came and told me I would be discharged and I explained all of my concerns to her and asked her what the legality of what they were doing was and she told me that all the doctors and staff said I was fine to be on my own and can be discharged. However I am in the exact same condition I was when I was admitted. It seems like Insurance fraud to me, The company admitted me to get the funds and literally just watched me brush my teeth and take bed baths and had me do a few leg moves and then had no problem discharging me to a shelter when they might not have got insurance to pay for anymore time. I explained that they could bill me if it was a concern and they said no I was ready to be discharged. I expected more from a place that is suppose to care about the health and well being of an individual. They will literally discharge you in the same condition you arrived and with nowhere to go. I am appealing and taking it up with my insurance as fraud, BBB, and health and human services, Nevada State Medicaid Supervisor of hearing and policy development.

They texted me a link to speed up processing and make my co-pay.

I arrived early for my scheduled appointment and they took me in, handled everything professionally and quickly and had me out and ready to schedule my next appointment.

This should not have "hospital" in the name. Doctor only visits once per week, or Upon request or begging to have patients seen. No medication given for pneumonia until to late!!! Even though patient requests to see a doctor multiple times. Patient passed. X-rays not done in timely fashion as they do not do them. They Have to order offsite for mobile X-rays, he Had to be sent back to the hospital for treatment as they let it go to long.
Only one Dr. on staff when we were there.
This should not have happened, if he had been treated in timely fashion. He could have survived.
The nurses were nice and respectful. facilities clean. Therapy was good.

I had a stroke that affected my left side I was at a different facility and was very unhappy I called encompass to get me in to their facility and it was wonderful The nursing staff is very attentive and the therapy department is great they worked with me and within 9 days I was on my way home with the ability to use my left side again thank you so much encompass for giving me the ability to do what I needed to do to get better I highly recommend this facility

Is this the place that called CNAs the "DooDoo Crew"?!?!?! Shame on yall! If that's how you feel about CNAs, I can only imagine the poor options you have about those that recieve care there. Disturbing to say the least. Disrespectful. Caring for the vulnerable is a blessing. Maybe someone needs to slap on a pair of gloves and do rounds until they've had an attitude change.

I came to Valley South Emcompass the first week of January ...I was taken to Desert Springs hospital the last few days in Dec 2018 for a serious blood infection and cellulitis it was pretty bad. When I arrived at Valley South by transport I saw how lovely the rehab was.. A very pretty RN Kim talked to me and assured me everything was alright I was very scared and nervous being somewhere new after 10 days at Desert Springs. The took me to my room I did have a roomate.. That took a bit to get useto especially having a private room at the hsp. I was then given the ropes and watched a welcome video. 3 young cnas came in to check on me right away to make sure i was ok or needed to be changed Atina.. Asia.. and another young lady very sweet. They asked me if I was hungry I was they served me a complete meal it was good. My daughter was with me who flew in from Calif and stayed with me till 9pm. All the nurses were very attentive no problems.. It was puttinge at ease. The next morning I had my 1st PT session with Luke very nice young man very professional and knew exactly what I needed done... I had difficulty standing and walking which the OTs and PTts had alot of work in store for them..I made progress alittle bit daily and was there 3 weeks I..m doing very well but will be going to another facility for a bit more care then home. I just want to mention names of the staff that made me feel like family. . And all the other RNs I had you were all amazng and I appreciated all of you. . And so many others Thank you so very much. And of course Special thank you too. Luis my PT.. and Mike PT.. And RON my OT.. and all the others that helped me achieve success. The facuiltys healing for me was excellent.. My case worker Katy.. And all my wonderful

I am disappointed in the care that my mom one is receiving at this facility. Her case manager will not return my calls and the nurses will not update me about her care. She had an appointment scheduled at an office outside of the facility and I was not notified about it. The nurses are extremely rough when helping her which is causing her to be in even more pain. Worst of all, they literally dropped her so now she's dealing with a terrible sprained ankle.

My husband is there since one week. I do not think anyone comes to help him when he needs help. Walked in his room this afternoon and could not believe what I saw . Was naked , exposed, shivering, floor was so dirty that my shoes were sticking to it . When you need help it takes for ever for the nurse to show up

All of the nurses and therapist are caring and very polite. The CNA'S are all courteous and caring. Except for one particular nurse. She seems to have a favorite patient and that's what I would call very unprofessional. Nurses or CNA's should have no favorite even if they speak the same language
This particular nurse is Filipino and she's too fake and she shows who her favorite patient is..,. Her name starts with M., She's got medium length hair, straight and dark in color. She wears a purple scrubs. And she wears glasses also.

My husband had to stay here for 7 days because of his back surgery. The staff were kind enough to let me stay by his side the the whole time . Chris , Sandra, Tere (O.T.) and Luis (P.T.) were all AMAZING ! They’re honestly the reason why this facility has a 5 Star rate. They made us feel kinda like at home .. the facility has a nice patio that you can hang out at meet other people that are kind hearted !
Chris and Sandra made sure my Husband was comfortable the whole time if he was in pain they'd figure out a solution right away not only that but they definitely made sure I was ok also. Every day when we seen those two we were excited to have them for the night because we knew we would be taken care of 100%. Whenever we asked for ANYTHING they wouldn’t even get upset or frustrated with us they made us feel like we could ask for anything without making us feel like we are bothering them ! Those 4 have been through my husbands recovery the whole time and kept him motivated . I appreciate those 4 very much and if I were to refer anyone it would be at this facility because of those 4 individuals !

Also, Food isn’t all that great ... there were times they hit the spot (mashed potatoes, gravy and turkey) but other than that ... we kinda ordered out the whole time ...

Finally, I want to give one more awesome shout out to Chris(nurse), Sandra(nurse), Luis (P.T) and Tere (O.T) for an amazing recovery and a great job for making us feel comfortable ❤️ They definitely should get a raise if that’s possible haha .

I'll start by saying my husband was at the Encompass inpatient rehabilitation hospital on Vegas Valley Drive. That is the facility my review is for.

AVOID ENCOMPASS AT ALL COST!!!

My husband was sent here after having a stroke. Nobody spoke to me about it and my husband doesn't remember, you know, cuz of a STROKE, which is an injury to the brain which usually results in short term memory loss, especially in the first few weeks after a stroke. One PT (Kyle I think) called me to let me know my husband was being transferred and he offered me his personal cell phone number so I could call for updates in the evening when he was no longer at work. Thank goodness he did because I received NO calls, updates, information, etc. from any nurse, doctor, or the case manager unless I continuously called and left messages.

Literally, the first night my husband was there he was left alone and fell out of his wheelchair. My husband called me, confused and not certain about what was happening, almost an HOUR before I received a call from anyone at Encompass letting me know. I don't know if it was because of no visitors due to covid or if Encompass is just horrible but if you have a "no visitors for any reason policy" (which I understand) and your entire purpose is assisting patients with BRAIN INJURIES and ACCIDENTS (stroke), maybe put a plan in place to actually notify family how the patient is doing, ESPECIALLY IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS!!!!

They did have team meetings for his care, without my husband or myself present of course, because my husband's recovery plan was none of our business at any point during his stay. At the last one it was apparently understood by EVERYONE but the doctor that my husband was going to be discharged the next day (spoke with the rockstar PT Kyle, who REALLY needs to find a better place to work cuz he's worth more than Encompass). The doctor didn't want him to leave yet for out patient rehab and so didn't sign the release. Which meant if he left, as planned by EVERYONE but the doctor, it would be AMA, which meant insurance could refuse to pay for any more treatment. We couldn't chance that so there was a delay in even getting my husband home.

Again, I don't know if it was because of no visitors due to covid or if Encompass is just horrible but the communication was awful, my husband ending up falling TWICE while there because he didn't have the correct supervision (at no other time before or since has he had a fall), and he most certainly did NOT receive his "minimum of 3 hours a day" rehab Encompass states that the patients receive. I know this from requesting and receiving all of his extensive medical records. Besides hiring Kyle, that is the only thing Encompass did right. I received all of the almost 1,000 pages of medical documents from Encompass within 7 days of requesting them.

Bottom line, patients are consumers and don't need to tolerate subpar care. There are FAR better options out there, which we've thankfully found.

Was in Health South rehabilitation center the first time was for a major back surgery front and back. Then five months later total knee replacement and both times I experienced a great caring staff and plenty of hands on help. Great program and a big kudos to Dr. Oliveri and the whole staff

A year ago, my 85 year old father was admitted here after a stroke. We were misled when we placed him here that we could visit him though the window of his room (due to coronavirus restrictions). We found when we visited that he had been placed in a room without a window we could access. We were told he would be moved to a room with a window we could access upon availability, but this never happened. He told us over the phone his rehabilitation was gruelling, which we discussed with his care team, but relented to their recommendations. 11 days after he was admitted, he was discharged to hospital with Covid pneumonia. We never saw him again alive.

I was in an accident and suffered a spinal injury which required a week stay at Encompass for physical and occupational therapy. My therapists, Mimi and Alta, were amazing! They were very friendly, compassionate, and professional. I miss them.

I called for an hour with no answer. No answer when you call a place that is caring for your sick mom? Madness. She needed help. Told me so. Finally they checked on her and it was too late. Called paramedics and she died on route to hospital. Hospital Resuscitated her but it didn’t last. She died of neglect. Stay away. At all costs.

This facility looks great but didnt do my wife justice....the case manager and doctor did very little to help us....the staff was good but the adminstration of this place cared only about how they could make money from us and told us they would get us more rehab but instead were telling insurance a different story....im so glad we moved her to royal springs rehab where in one week they have done more for her than 2 weeks at healthsouth....i asked for an explanation why she was discharged by a doctor that was not her doctor and they never answered me...this place only cared about the bottom line....avoid this facility because of the administration.

As a patient I highly recommend encompass rehab to anyone that wants to get back on their feet or any type of rehab that they need the staff here is all pleasant. And enjoyable to work with. Also the meals are very very good it's not like when you stay at some hospitals you get that hospital food. You actually get a hot and I believe it's done by a real chef. But other than that encompass really works on getting you back on your feet I gave it a five star because that's all the stars had but I would give it a 10 star in my opinion.
