Even though I don't live anywhere near the office, I still drive quite a distance to see Dr. Norris. She listens to me and guides me through whatever concerns I may have. My daughter just turned 18 and no longer sees a pediatrician so will be recommending Dr. Norris to her and my son too who has a new job and may have the same insurance.

If you do go to this Southwest Medical Associates location called Tropicana on Google Map but on Durango they open at 645am to check in 7am patients. Very friendly staff. It is required for all medical clinics to wear a mask. Dr. Norris is an excellent primary care doctor. She is very thorough and takes time to listen to me. I

I've been going to Dr. Norris for many years now, I've had men, women, even a black woman doctor, hands down Dr. Norris is the best! She has always taken the time to not just listen but, she hears. I've never felt rushed. I've never been denied a referral to a Specialist, her staff, not just Southwest Medical has called me on a follow-up. One time, I had a group appointment I'm not sure if that's the correct term well, there were about 10-15 patients in a room mostly for aches and pains, this was in the days before Covid 19, I was so impressed how she listened to each individual and how after they describe their pain she could put her fingers on the exact spot. Or how she could look in your eyes and tell that your body is lacking some nutrients. From that day to this I've known she is a gifted doctor. This may come back to bite me in the butt. Dr. Kyra Norris does deserve her well earn recognition. Thank you for all you do!

I've waited a month for my new pcp and was very excited to meet Dr. Norris. It will be my first ever female doctor. I've expected her to be different from all my male doctor's throughout the years that I had. Most of the male doctor's I had is they threat me just like a number and not as a person with concerns about their health issues. She's no different, but since it's my first time, maybe it's an off day for her and I was the last patient of the day before closing. But come to think, since we pay for our insurance and the doctors services, that they should just genuinely be concern about our health, be a little more compassionate, or even do a good job to fake that they are? She doesn't make eye contact and she got a little ticked off when I told her that I have a list of concerning questions about my health. She could explained to me what was the difference with well check and list off health question appointment. I am not the professional here and i only see a doctor once a year, they are the one that does this daily 5 times a week. I was on my best behavior, kind, and funny. I had 2 more questions off my list and she was already inching away to get out of the door. I apologized about list and I said thanks for taking care of me today and have a blessed day! I felt it was me trying to give my best to her instead of the other way around. May God Bless you, Dr. Norris and wishing you all the best!

I had a great visit to this location today. I was a walk in for an Xray and I cannot remember the X-Ray Techs name but she was the absolute sweetest person. She took great care of me and I was in and out of there within 20 mins. Everyone was friendly and quick.

I will be changing primary care providers. I had an appointment yesterday for a possible sinus infection. I get there and I'm told the doctor doesn't feel comfortable enough to see me and to go to Urgent Care. Ummm....I have negative COVID results and all symptoms point towards a sinus infection. I drive to Urgent Care who said she keeps sending people to them for non-urgent conditions. If you aren't comfortable with seeing patients, then find another profession. So, I drove to Urgent Care for them to diagnose me with a sinus infection and to prescribe me allergy medication. It's a joke you are turning away patients. Not everything is COVID related. People actually need to see their primary for other reasons.

I have had Dr Norris off and on for years. Even referred her to others for care. She is really down to earth and doesn’t play. She listens to my concerns and if needed will refer me to a specialist. I under the long wait time bcuz I already know that De Norris has a full patient load. If you don’t want to wait then complain, find another Dr.

Save yourself stress and get a different PCP. do not choose Norris. I thought having a black female doctor would make me more understood and taken care of. I’ve never read a doctor have such a complete disregard for her patients. I’ve been having the same problem since MARCH. And doctor Norris shows no type of urgency or even an attempt to feign caring. I’ve wasted time and money going to specialists who have told me to my FACE that they don’t know why I’m here in their chair from the referral that miss Norris here decided to dish out. Money and time wasted for nothing. Again. Back to the drawing board. How do you call yourself a doctor?? Do your patients a favor and respectfully retire.

Didn’t get to see this doctor today. Turns out she was on vacation and her staff forgot to relay the message. I took time off work to make this appointment. I spoke with Julie Rose when I made the appointment and nobody informed me when that the doctor would be off. It took me over two months to get this appoinetment. Then she said the next appointment won’t be until septemeber, and that the office manager forgot to call me.

Patient Paul Di Fazio aka Max DiFaz : I am from the east coast and now live in Las Vegas. I am used to waiting forever to see a doctor, sometime months at a time. Dr Norris was able to see me on short notice for a medical issue and where it was my first time seeing her, she has become my new primary care in Las Vegas. I found her to be very professional with a kind and very approachable personality. She showed much concern for helping me get to the bottom of my issue and has ordered up follow up tests being scheduled for the near future. Her office is extremely busy and as a family doctor, she has a lot of patients, but I never felt rushed in any way and had a sense that my health was in good hands when I left her office. For me, Dr Norris was a pleasant surprise !

Her eyes were shut 80% of the time. Really shut. I don't know if this was due to opiates or being excessively tired or a family trait? It was frightening. And she hurt me during a simple check up. She would not stop with her pressure points or what have you until I was in dying pain. A place that had no pain prior.

Saw doctor Norris Fri. Was given antibiotics for three days after i finished. Im still just as sick as I was on the first day. Called to see the doctor. And was told the next available appointment wed. Today is Monday. I've been sick 5days and missing work 3. Really I recommend finding a doctor who follows up with there sick patients. Not just filling there schedules with the max number daily for maximum dollars.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!!! I drove 60 miles from Pahrump for my appointment with her. I waited 50 minutes, but she was too busy. Come on, she wasn't delivering a baby, she was gossiping with her "friends" in the break room instead of taking care of her patients. I left!

I had been experiencing severe stomach pain for years and no doctors could help me somehow, upon meeting with Dr Norris she took my concerns into honest consideration and took care of me. Through a GREAT referral I was able to find a specialist and get my health needs taken care of.
