When I moved here, I asked my neighbor whom she used for a dentist. She suggested a local dentist, who gave a free cleaning to new patients I got my free cleaningand was informed I needed $9,000 of dentistry ! I have been married to a dentist ,so I was more informed than the average person!
My teeth are perfectly straight, and I was told I needed braces, which I never had in my life, as well as a few crowns!

The BEST in Vegas. I live on the opposite side of town and they are 100% worth the drive! I had an old crown break in half and Las Vegas Dental Group got me in quickly, had to remove the rest of the old crown which I was very nervous for.....but Dr Maffeo did a fantastic job with no pain! Also so impressed with his assistant who fitted my new crown. Absolutely no issues with the new crown and my bite feels better than before. I will now be using Dr Maffeo for aligners. My experience is always very positive. My old hygienist retired and I was apprehensive with the new one that they had hired but she was wonderful which I really appreciated. This was my worst dental care experience I encountered from reception to teeth cleaning at Las Vegas Dental, Charleston.
Hygienist Rebecca seemed to be having her bad days during my visits with her.
She had no communication about what work and pain level to be expected during my cleaning, she can leave you on the air with mouth opened while stepping off the room for something… her demeanour was unpleasant, putting a fault on my teeth condition as she was unable to complete her work as expected due to her exhaustion! She has shown no compassion or care of a patient was putted under her hands..
She injected the Anaesthetics without brief and left my cheek & lip numb and swollen for up to 8 hours after the work.
She was reluctant to answer any questions or concerns you raised to her reflecting her impatient.

Certain area of my teeth Rebecca treated felt discomfort and sensitive that I would not have experienced before the work.

I regret for have chosen the wrong place for my dental care, not recommended.

I’m Cornelius wife and I brought him to your clinic va The veterans administration consult. The front desk staff was very rude on several occasions. I had a root canal and crown done by Dr. Maffeo over a year ago, and it’s been nothing but problems since. A few weeks after the procedure, the tooth started hurting badly. I called them multiple times and even went back, as far as a remember, more than once, concerned and in pain, only to be brushed off and told to wait it out, that the pain was normal and would eventually go away.

Throughout the year the pain would come and go, sometimes unbearable, sometimes just enough to ruin my day, and sometimes there was no pain at all. I finally went to another dentist to get it checked, and they immediately saw that the root canal was done improperly and was infected, causing pain and inflammation. Now I’m stuck needing an expensive surgery, another root canal, and possibly a new crown (which my insurance will not cover because of their policy on replacement frequency).

My wife also had issues with treatment here, but mostly on the aesthetic side of things (they gave her a massive crown). They offered to redo her crown but only for more money. No accountability, no apology.

This place has cost us not only money but pain and frustration. If you value your health (and wallet), I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

UPD: As I said before: there’s no accountability from this office — not even in their response here. If you read their replies to other negative reviews, they always shift blame to the patient. They claim I never told them about my pain, assuming I have no proof. But I did — multiple times, both in person and over the phone.

I had an appointment on 05/08/24 where I told them my tooth was hurting. I was brushed off and told to wait it out because "sometimes new fillings hurt). Then on 06/04/24, I had a follow-up appointment specifically for ongoing pain in the root-canaled tooth and other teeth they did fillings on because they hurt bad when I flossed (I also forgot to mention earlier — there’s decay under one of those fillings.) Again, I was told nothing was wrong. They shaved the crown slightly and sent me home. After being ignored twice, I didn’t go back. I have message screenshots from that day describing what happened.
Regarding my wife’s crown — also untrue. She told them immediately it was too big; she couldn’t even close her mouth. Instead of redoing it, they shaved down her lower teeth and told her if it still bothered her, she could come back. When she did — a month later, after multiple people commented on how big it looked — they told her it would cost $100 to fix.

Dr nickolas maffeo is the best in town. He even visited me before my appointment day cause I was worried about my issue. Before, I had a review that I wasn't satisfied there. As I said there it was ""just"" about few times I was told they'd call me back but they didn't and also on my cleaning visit she didn't let me know in advanced it will be deep cleaning and I was charge $90 which I expected it a free annual visit. Others than that the doctor and his assistants put their 100 there for you.

I can’t say enough for the team at this facility! It’s a rarity in today’s world where service like this is rendered. I showed up at 7:30am in excruciating tooth pain and had xrays done, the diagnosis provided and the oral surgery completed by 10am. I walked out pain free! I REALLY didn’t like was how the receptionist reacted when I asked them to redirect my x rays and other records to a new office because I moved. She said I needed to sign the release form. I spelled my email for her to make sure that she wrote it down correctly due to unusual spelling of the name (doughlas with an h). She reacted by saying “so it’s douglas” and sounded pissed for some reason.
When I didn’t get the form after that I called them again to make sure they send it to the correct email address. She said “DiDn’T I RePeAt It To YoU” and again sounded very annoyed, then hanged up on me mid sentence when I tried to ask her to make sure she didn’t misspell it. I never got my release form or my records. I have an appointment in the new office on Monday and will have to pay for new x-rays because I never got mine from Las Vegas Dental Group.

Regarding the work done on my teeth: I liked dr Maffeo and their hygienist. However I got a crown there and it was a bit too big so I couldn’t close my mouth all the way. Instead of redoing it the person (I think it was the assistant) who put the crown on shaved down a tooth on my lower jaw (which naturally had a sharp shape) flattening it without my consent so I could close my mouth. Now my lower jaw looks asymmetrical and I did really like my sharp teeth. Later they did offer to remake the crown for additional $100 (which tbh I think should be free to remake because it does not fit properly), but my problem is not only with the crown but more with them shaving my teeth down to make the first big crown fit and just informing me afterwards that they did it and the way receptionist talked to me after I told them I’m switching offices (which has nothing to do with the quality of their work, their location and hours are just inconvenient for me now)

Having now made multiple visits over the past couple of years, my previous review is still completely accurate!! Everyone was incredibly nice, though still knowledgeable and skilled at their respective duties. My experience with Dr. Mark and Danielle far exceeded my expectations. They are both talented at communicating their observations, determining what was required to fix my teeth, and providing the necessary solutions. I was very impressed with all of the personnel.

The dental hygienist that I usually make appointments with was unable to schedule me until a later date so I chose to take an earlier appointment with a female hygienist and it was truly the worst experience at this dentist’s office in 40+ years of being a patient there. Sadly I don’t think I will return to this office again. The kicker was the local or topical numbing agent she wanted to use on my gums was put on without asking me if I wanted it. My tongue was numb and so were my lower gums. The reason she put it on was due to the bleeding and pain she had inflicted on me earlier. Never in all my years of going in for cleaning had I experienced this kind of distress. Dean is completely the opposite, kind, considerate and does a remarkable job using the same tools but gently.

I’m about to make an appointment. I called the phone number and a lady who ever answered a phone call is arrogant! I asked her if what kind of xrays do I need since I am a new patient. I told her i just spoke with someone earlier but i need to know and confirmed which Xrays. And she answered me back with a HIGH PITCH “ I THOUGHT YOU ALREADY SPOKE WITH SOMEONE?! Why you asking me again?

I called and she answered the phone. I told her we spoke on the phone. I asked her how much the xrays was . Two types of xrays. She answered me in arrogant way! She was like “ i thought you already spoke with someone why you asking me again?’’ With a high pitch of voice also! So I answered her back. Why are you so arrogant? I’m asking you because i forgot how much the xrays was. That’s the reason i called!
I’m not making stories i will not get nothing from this but i hope she will know how to treat a customer. Especially a NEW incoming patient.!

My experience today was much better than any of my previous visits to this dental office. The dental hygienist was professional and respectful. She was very attentive and handled my issues with care.

She was unlike my last dental hygienist who was rude and obnoxious. I understand that he is undergoing back surgery, but I hope his doctor will give him something for his temper.

Had a crown removed, tooth extraction and bone implant as step one in a tooth implant.

Though the extraction was painful, despite the anesthetic, everything went smoothly and quickly. And no pain after the anesthetic wore off nor any swelling.

I particularly appreciate that Dr Maffeo doesn’t recline you so far that you are upside down nor use those blocks in your mouth that induce gagging. Both things that make an unpleasant process even more so.

I have always try to make sure all my cleanings and checkups are done each year so when I started experiencing something out of the ordinary alarm set in , they got me in right away. I had recently heard of people discovering mouth cancer after being alerted by their hygienist so didn’t want to take any chances. They checked everything out throughly, explained what I had seen…lucky to find it was not what I was fearing it would be. I left with peace of mind. I've been there twice now. I like the doctor, he seems knowledgeable and very friendly. As are the staff, they were all very friendly and made me feel comfortable. People at the LVDG are kind and respectful. They are professional and work gently knowing they are working with people that might not be too enthusiastic of having work done by a dentist. Nevertheless, Dr. Maffeo is extraordinary. I need to mention Dean, one of the hygienist at LVDG; he is gentle and pleasant; he makes the dentist' chair less scary. Although, I would love for them to keep the suction device in my mouth at all times. Thumbs up for the LVDG team!

Very accommodating to new patients! I'm new here to Vegas and was able to get an emergency appointment to address a loose implant. We've been in LV for 5 years and have had difficulty finding a dental practice that isn't just about cosmetic dentistry.
