I have been going to Dr. Johnson for many years now, and he is one of my favorite doctors! He is thorough, kind, consistent, and explains everything so clearly. He invests in his team and practice, so the tests he does give you insight into your long term health, and the team members are experienced and ready to help with anything you need. They also have a very wide selection of frames and Stephanie is so helpful, knowledgeable, and patient as she helps you pick out the perfect style. This practice is a gem and a medical appointment I look forward to every time.

One of the best practices in the Henderson area. This place is extraordinary. Doctor Johnson has been serving his community for years and his patients love him and the staff here. Stephanie the optician is an expert in eyewear and has a heart of gold. The front staff are always welcoming and full of joy. You can tell that everyone enjoys what they do here. I absolutely love Dr. Johnson’s office. I can’t speak more highly of this practice. I have been coming here for years and I will continue to go until I literally can’t. Dr. Johnson is so kind and patient and calm. He is thorough and incredibly smart and experienced. The staff is so kind and friendly and the techs are bubbly and personable. Also, if I have ever had an emergency, they’ve always been able to get me in within an acceptable timeframe. Truly can’t speak highly enough of this team.

The doctor is amazing but office practices are horrendous. I have Blue Cross Blue Sheild vision insurance. I find the Dr on the BCBS website. Call make an appt for contact lenses & glasses. Give ins info. Fill out paperwork give ins info. First visit charged $5 for exam and over $100 for contact lens exam. Weird. ... Glasses Exam is free & contact exam, in 33 years, has never been more than 65. Figure okay whatever. Go for follow up contact exam and get glasses & contact prescription. Go to get glasses. Most options like bi focal, transition, etc are free so I say that. Lady says no it's a discount with GEHA ins. Never gave GEHAInfo (that is my dental ins).She says they don't take my type of Blue Cross so did a search and found my GEHA which offers a discount. Also tried to say I owe $225 for contact exam. What the heck!!! Anyway, You knew you didn't take my insurance but said nothing. You used my dental insurance instead and said nothing. You knew I would only get a glasses discount not full benefits and said nothing. So let me understand...I paid more than I would have and only get a discount on glasses all because you never communicated to me that you don't take my vision insurance?!?. In 33 years I have never had to ask about contact exam pricing, or whether you truly take my insurance, and whether you are certain my full benefits will be applied to glasses, but I know to do that now.

Friendly- Professional -Highly Recommend. From my first phone call, to the follow thru calls, text message reminders and today's appointment I felt IMPORTANT. How many places make you feel IMPORTANT? My time was valued- no long waits, no busy loud office, no clockwatching-- the doctor and his staff conveyed a definite treatment that we were most IMPORTANT--
Tests are quick and easy- very professional equipment, no carpets- which made me feel the whole place cared about Health, sanitary and concern for all of us.
Time- the doctor never once made me feel like I was just a number, test information, photos were all shared openly and explained in easy to understand terms.
Feel thankful to have found Dr. Johnson --so thank you to others for leaving reviews!

I've only ever had excellent care and great customer service. Dr. Johnson thoroughly explains my results at every visit and has even suggested alternative help for my eye floaters. He is detailed during his exam and all questions or concerns I've ever had have been given adequate time and attention. Staff are friendly and very helpful in frame selection. I only have good experiences when I go and I always recommend this office to my friends and family when someone is looking for a new provider.

Dr. Johnson's exam was thorough and probably worth the $108 I paid with good technology and clear explanation. However, I would strongly recommend after the exam, you don't purchase the eyeglasses at the office and take your prescription elsewhere to be fulfilled. The price for glasses there is of course not low but more importantly the service is poor. Fulfillment of the glasses took 2 weeks vs half the time elsewhere. The normal procedure is that you just pick up your glasses from reception with no adjustment. They don't check ID so anyone can pick up your glasses. If you do require an adjustment to your glasses which I do, they make you make another appointment so you need to run over a third time on another day - so inefficient. They don't explain this process ahead of time to save you time and effort and they are not empathetic to your situation. Disappointed considering the prices I paid.

Disorganized and unhelpful office staff. They confused my appointment times and are now trying to charge no show fees. Takes over a month to get an appointment and they somehow manage to provide further poor service consistently. The dr. himself is awesome but the hassle is not worth it.

Had some mix up on insurance when we went in. I ended up paying up front. When I had everything straighten up with the insurance. The insurance company called Dr. Johanson's office to bill them. His office told the insurance company "No". Leaving us stuck with an exam bill, when it was fully cover. They would rather bill their paying customer, than taking the insurance network rate. Just like another reviewer said. This place is just out for the money. They will try and pinch you for every penny they can get.

Wow. What an amazing experience my son and I had yesterday. This was our first time at this office. The staff was very friendly and fast. Dr Johnson was very informative and explained EVERYTHING throughout our exam. He made jokes and had us both laughing all the while explaining what he was doing during the exam. While leaving the office my son actually said “that was fun” lol. Dr Johnson also fixed my son old glasses “no charge” So he can wear them until the new ones are ready. Awesome Awesome experience here !!!

I was very impressed with my experience.
When I called the office they answered the call right the way, they were able to get me a consultation date for the following week.
The Dr Paul Johnson was very informative and went above and beyond to explain my eyes conditions, gave me a wide range of options.
The staff is stellar, very friendly and knowledgeable.

After paying almost $600 for transition lens still under warranty one of the lens was scratched and the office manager decided it was not a scratch, but a gauge!!! A gauge wasn’t covered. The unbelievable thing was she had never SEEN the glasses. The two times my daughter took them in for inspection, she was absent from the practice. SCARY.

Haven't felt unwelcomed in such a long time! Left for work early so I can stop by this place to buy new glasses. Receptionist in front would not even let me in to look at their selection as they needed to verify my insurance first. Explained I have insurance and she questioned me like I was a criminal! Waste of time and felt discriminated against. I Wonder how they stay in business with how they treat prospective customers.

I've had horrible vision since I was 8. I have severe astigmatism on both eyes and my night vision was awful. I was supposed to wear glasses all the times but wearing them gave me headaches so I only wore them when I had to. I went to an optometrist a year ago to try contacts. He gave me soft lens contacts but I could not wear them because they shifted too much, causing blurry vision. He told me I would get used to them. I tried 3 adjustments for a few weeks but nope.

Then we moved to Henderson 4 months ago and I researched different optometrists and found Dr. Johnson. He is a genius. He knew soft contacts would not work for someone like me and offered a few options but recommended we try the hybrid first. After a couple of adjustments, he was able to fit the right ones and I can now wear contacts all day long and I can see! I didn't think it was possible for my vision to be this great but it is. The Dr. Johnson and the entire office staff is very friendly and I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been a patient of Paul Johnson for at least 8+ years. From the very first time I visited his office, I have always been treated like family. The office staff is super cool, and have worked for Mr. Johnson for many years. He has such a great up-beat attitude, and really great eye care. He goes over every detail with you, including showing you your eyeballs. Really, it's amazing the #technology he has there at the office! He also has a great line of eye-wear, and I've always received outstanding follow up visits as well. I will be his patient until he retires, and hopefully that will not be for many more years to come! 5-Star!

I received a recommendation for Dr Johnson from a contacts manufacturer. He is highly regarded for his knowledge fitting RGP contacts, I am a post lasik patients and my right eye is always a very challenging task to fit properly. I am very sensitive about the provider I want taking care of my vision. I have worn glasses since I was 5 years old. I have worn glasses and contacts both until I opted to have Lasik done in 2000. I was thrilled with my results but have started needing something for every day wear again. I am still fairly new to the area and had gone some place different based on recommendations from co-workers because they knew they accepted our insurance. They no longer accept our insurance so I had to find someone new. I chose Dr. Johnson because he was close to home. I was so happy with my visit and getting very thorough answers to all my questions concerning my previous procedure and family history that I immediately made appointments for my parents. I can honestly say that I adore Paul Johnson. He is kind and took his time with me. I experience optical migraines almost daily and I had many questions. He answered all of my questions and was careful to make sure I understood his answers. His staff is very friendly and make me feel like a member of their family. I am semi retired and living on a fixed budget. Dr. Johnson seemed conscious of my financial situation and I think I paid a fair price for his services. My vision insurance just changed so I Googled Dr. Johnson from my new provider list and was greeted by a professional and informative website. I called the Dr’s office and spoke with a very nice and professional receptionist. I was pleasantly surprised by how much time Dr. Johnson took to examine my eyes. A very professional assistant helped me pick out new glasses and they were ready when promised.
