The staff is polite and friendly but I said that I wanted with a line bifocals but they made no line. I also specified where I wanted the line to be based on a different pair of glasses that I already have but they said they always only put the line at a different place. So I paid for a pair of glasses that I never use. Next time, I will go elsewhere.

My family has used Dr. Manos for more than 25 years. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and professional. We couldn’t find a better eye doctor. She takes the necessary time with each patient to properly serve their needs. She takes a patient’s overall health into consideration when accessing your vision. We will need to find another doctor when we relocate. It will be quite a challenge to replace her. That cannot be said for most doctors, unfortunately.

I am beyond impressed! From the time that I called with an eye emergency, the girls at the front desk were phenomenal. They spoke with the doctor. They got back with me right away. They addressed my concerns. I did wait two days to see the doctor because the quick care doctor had given me some other meds to help, but I did follow it up with an actual appointment and I'm so glad I did because I got to meet the Doctor who is now on the pedestal of awesomeness! Dr is great here. I just wish the front had told me my insurance covered bifocals when I said I couldn’t afford the progressive cost as already had to pay $300 for me and daughter another $200 was just not in my budget. I guess I should’ve looked more into what insurance had covered when came to that, even though they say they are going over what’s covered and what’s not. That was never mentioned. I will be more proactive going forward as first time I was needing them.Also I am hearing impaired I wear hearing aids but they only help so much so maybe missed something but didn’t see on paper as a option, even though I do mostly only wear at home had been covered would have liked them.

GOOD PRICING FOR ASTIGMATISM contact fittings! Good, thorough doctor. My prescription can be tough due to my eye conditions but the doctor was willing to have two appointments to continue fine tuning the prescription. They also don’t overcharge for contact fittings like a lot of optometrists tend to do when you have an astigmatism.
There is also great communication with office staff. They will help coordinate an appointment even if you have a complex schedule. Definitely coming here again in the future when I need an eyeglass prescription.

I went for my first eye exam in years, & everyone was kind, thorough, & efficient. Dr. Manos spent good time explaining everything the tests revealed with me and was thorough about questioning me about my history that I filled in on the forms. I called this provider on 03-8-25 as my job based vision insurance changed to VSE, and I learned this was a nearby provider.

I let the staff know I had an active RX for contacts, good until 4-18-25. I had been seen by a local eye doctor in 2024, less than a mile away.

I let staff know that I have $150 insurance to work with, and becuase my RX calls for Toric XR contacts, the price is always more than $100 per box. I said I did not want another exam, and simply wanted the contacts ordered. In that way, I would minimize out of pocket costs, to just under $100.

They transferred me to someone else who noted they would not help me, unless I sat for an exam. I told them the financial dilemma and noted that I simply wanted to get the contacts and that financial circumstances were such that this was my only choice. Stubbornly and heartlessly, they refused, no matter how much I begged and pleaded, to help me. No compassion.

I condemn this practice, and those that work there for their attitude, unprofessionalism and lack of compassion for the situation. I would recommend going anywhere else rather than dealing with this greedy money grubbing style, which is a microcosm of what's wrong with the entire scope of Amercian medicine - as most portray a big business mentality. I've NEVER been this disappointed or angry about OPTOMETRY - we aren't talking about heart surgery or diabetes care here. This was their fault and their lack of compassion truly that told the story about how their emphasis is all profit first and patient last. Stay away!

I thank the owner for responding, but don't find the answers are particularly relevant. Deadlines are set in medical for a reason. My deadline at 1 year is 4.18.25. We are more than a month away as I sit to write this.. I believe most rational people would consider that adequate time management. I appreciate the provider's concern for providing ideal health care, but unfortunately the USA runs medical as a business and not everyone has limitless resources to spend on their care. Adequate care often has to be accepted by those of limited means, rather than optimal care. That's a hallmark of our current system. Its more responsible than doing nothing. Short sightedness or stubbornness loses the provider business and increases the difficulty on the patient and that is not a positive outcome for anyone. It's a telltale sign of discrimination against someone because they don't have limitless resources.

If anyone was wondering, my prior provider stated that they no longer accept my employer based vision insurance and Savvy Eyes happened to be the closest referral by distance to where I stay when I consulted the insurer for a providers list. I have been told by others they will accept an RX that is not over 1 year.
